The June You Beauty Discovery box selection has just been unveiled to subscribers. As always the idea is that when the selection opens on the 1st of the month you select two items to receive in your box.
Well I promised myself I wouldn’t buy Benefit‘s new, much hyped brow product, Gimme Brow, until I had used up my HD Brows palette (review here), but I ended up purchasing one after all. Oh how little will power I have! In my defence however I did use some of my Birchbox points so it wasn’t an entirely guilty purchase, and with my sparse eyebrows I do require extra help! So what is my verdict?
Although I love my beauty products and makeup I travel really light when it comes to my handbag and usually just carry the bare minimum for everyday use.
What are my handbag essentials?
Every month I rave about the You Beauty Discovery box as the line up is always so good and each month seems to surpass itself in terms of quality and value.
This month however, fabulous choices aside, there have been a few hiccups. I blogged about the website crashing in the early hours of May 1st as people clamoured to snap up their choices. But also a few people, myself included, still haven’t got all their items and i’m late in writing this review for that very reason.
I was fed up yesterday and felt like jazzing up my nails. I loved the existing colour, which is a Soigné Botanique Nail Laquer in Chou-Fleur Violet, and it was still chip free despite having done some gardening earlier, so I decided to leave the base colour on and choose a complimentary glitter coat as an overlay.
I was recently contacted by BzzAgent to see if wanted to review L’Oréal Casting Creme Gloss, an ammonia-free hair colourant. I’d not coloured my hair in ages and had been fancying a change so I jumped at the the opportunity! There were a number of colours to choose from and I selected Black Cherry. After making my choice all that was left to do was sit back and wait for my kit to be delivered.
So what were my first impressions of Loreal Casting Creme Gloss?
For their latest box Latest In Beauty have teamed up with the British Beauty Blogger to bring us The Dream Box. This is the third box Jane, of British Beauty Blogging fame, has curated (and the first with LIB) and it is a belter!
Jane has selected fifteen amazing beauty products for inclusion in the box which she has personally tried, tested and endorsed. Some are well known, trusted products from brands you will already know, whilst others will be new discoveries. Box is a bargainous £19.95 and includes free postage!
Ok so tea is not necessarily a new addiction as I always start the day with a brew. But fruit and herbal teas have never really been my “bag” (sorry, lame pun) and, despite attempts to drink various different teas for health benefits, the boxes have usually ended up gathering dust on the cupboard shelf, only to be enjoyed by the occasional guest.
I’m a sucker for anything pink but add a charity donation to Breast Cancer Research and it’s difficult to say no! I also love pink-based blushers and lip glosses, which are my staple makeup products for perking up the complexion, so when I saw this set on the Stila website in their Boxing Day Sale it was love at first sight and I snapped one up!
