When I first saw Birchbox were including another nail polish in their May box I was a bit miffed. Firstly their April box included a Club Color polish and secondly I own enough polish to sink a small ship already. The phrase “it better be good” sprang to mind.
Fortunately the polish they included was a beautifully packaged, brand-new to the market lacquer by French company Soigné Botanique. Even better I got a shade called Pomegranate which is a beautiful bright red and is perfect for summer.
I finally got the chance to try the polish properly tonight and it really is as good as it looks. The brush is large and coats the nails well, and the formula isn’t streaky at all. One coat gave full coverage, although it was the teeniest bit sheer for my liking, so I used a second to ensure a really solid colour.
The Soigné formulation is really impressive, containing ingredients that are approximately 85% of natural origin. It is also Formaldehyde, Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate and Camphor free. It retails at £11 and can be bought in the Birchbox shop.
You can find a review of my Birchbox box here. I was really impressed with the quality and variety of products it contained but the Soigné lacquer is by far my favourite product.
If you want to subscribe to Birchbox it costs £10 + £2.95 postage a month for a rolling subscription (there are also discounts for signing up for 6 or 12 months) and considering the polish alone retails at £11 it is fantastic value. Additionally, if you use my referral link here, as a thank you we both get 50 points (£5) to spend in the Birchbox shop!
Have you already tried Soigné lacquer? If so what did you think?
