Clinique City Block

With the temperatures rising it’s especially important to think about sun protection.

One of my favourite sun screens has always been Clinique City Block; a sheer, broad-spectrum UVA/UVB daily sunscreen.

It’s lightweight formula helps wick away perspiration and absorb excess oil. With no chemical sunscreens it’s appropriate both for the eye area and sensitive skins. I find City Block is perfect to wear alone, but is also an ideal primer for wearing under makeup.

I still have the SPF15 version, which I wear even in winter months, but Clinique have since upped this to SPF25 making the formula even better. There is also an SPF40 version for those who are looking for even greater protection. Priced at £17 for 40ml City Block SPF25 is available at all Clinique stockists as well as through their website.

So don’t forget; enjoy the sun but stay protected!

Nice post! I have always really liked Clinique products, but when I went to Sephora a few months back inquiring about a moisturizer one of the sales women told me that Clinique has been known to clog pores. I found that interesting as it’s usually one of the best sellers. Have you noticed any problems with breakouts, etc when using this?

I’ve had no problems and have been using City Block and other Clinique products since I was 18. My skin is oily and I can get breakouts, but usually I think they are hormonal and certainly using Clinique hasn’t worsened or caused them.
