Selfridges have created limited edition Beauty Boxes before, which have always proved popular, and their latest one was no exception. Created to celebrate The Beauty Project, Selfridges new campaign, this amazing beauty box launched on 15th May and had sold out by that same evening. Fortunately, as I suspected a fast sell-out, I was quick off the mark and bagged one that afternoon.
Priced at £30 but with a value of £120 plus, the box is packed full of 14 beauty must-haves and is the ultimate kit for beauty lovers.
The boxes contain the following:
Nars Mini Deep Throat Blusher – I must make a confession now; I’ve never tried Nars. I’m excited that that’s about to change! It’s a lovely colour and a generous size.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, 13G – These powder to creamy cleansers, which activate on contact with water, are all the rage so definitely a highlight of the box in my eyes.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, 30ml – This brand is highly regarded and usually comes with a fairly hefty price tag (50ml of the primer costs about £29) so is an absolute steal here and another major draw for me. Plus I really don’t use a primer as much as I should so hopefully this will change that!
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, 30ml – I’ve not used anything from Kiehls since it was an emerging brand and I picked up some samples at Harvey Nichols. It’s exploded since so i’m looking forward to reaquainting myself with the brand again.
Percy and Reed Dry Shampoo, 150ml – This is a full size and a lovely brand but sadly it’s one of the few items in the box that I wont use it (I have short hair that sticks up all over in the morning and therefore requires a proper daily shampoo).
Lancaster Silky Milk Tanning Lotion, 50ml – Not much to say about this, except that it’s a well respected brand and a perfect size for taking out and about.
Tangle Teezer in Original Pink – My hair is too short to ever tangle so again this is one product I won’t use personally, but I’ll use this on my daughter’s hair
Eyeko Mini Black Magic Mascara, 4ml – I love small mascaras; they’re great for travel but also you’re advised to change your mascara once it’s been opened a while so for this reason mini mascaras are perfect.
Paul and Joe Blotting Paper – I already use blotting papers (see post here) so i’m happy to recieve these. They’re also in a really compact packet and feature a cute, seashell design.
EXCLUSIVE Carmex Limited Edition Lip Balm – Self-confessed lip balm addict here. Not sure I’ll ever be completely converted from my Burts Bees favourite, but I’ll certainly use it. I always say you can never have too many balms and I love the comic book packaging of this!
EXCLUSIVE Phyto 7 Limited Edition Hair Cream, 50ml – Recently my hair has felt a little dry so i’m loving leave-in hair oils and serums.
EOS Berry Hand Cream, 44ml – I’ve still not tried the little EOS balms people rave about, but at least I’ll finally get to try one of the products from the EOS range! It’s a lovely size to slip in my handbag.
Ole Henricksen Truth To Go Wipes – I’ve never been completely converted to wipes, but use them occasionally when I go to bed late and can’t face the complete regime. I’ll have to see if these can convince me to see them as anything more than an emergency cleanser.
Selfridges Limited Edition Make-up Bag – I’ll probably use this to store all the beauty items that normally just roll around and get lost in the deep, dark recesses of my handbag. It’s the perfect size for this purpose.
Unfortunately this box is sold out with no intention to restock it. But it’s worth knowing that Selfridges produce these bargainous boxes and that you can sign up to find out about any exclusives, including these boxes, on the website.
Did you order the box? What product are you excited most about trying?
*************** UPDATE *****************
The lovely Which Beauty Box has just advised the Beauty Box is back in stock (correct as of 18th June) and available here, but hurry, it’s unlikely to be around long!
