Tangle Teezer Review

Every so often a product comes along that makes you wonder why no one thought of it before. The Tangle Teezer is one of those products.

I’ve never really thought about the sort of hairbrush I use and certainly hadn’t thought about investing in a Tangle Teezer; with really short, straight hair it’s never been a priority, and after all a brush is a brush right?

I got the Tangle Teezer just last month in my Selfridges Beauty Project Box and I immediately earmarked it for using on my daughter’s long, curly hair. Her hair is so fine it tangles easily and hair brushing had become a bit of a battleground. I was immediately proved wrong – the Tangle Teezer was more than just an ordinary hair brush – and brushing my daughters hair became pleasure rather than a task to be dreaded by both of us!

The ergonomic design means the brush is so comfortable to hold and the lack of handle means there is no pulling or dragging. The different length bristles seem to work their way gently through the hair, easing knots apart. With soft, flexible bristles it’s really difficult to be heavy handed and damage the hair.

My daughter’s hair is immediately softer and shinier after using the Tangle Teezer and unlike a traditional brush there is no matt of hair caught in the bristles where the hair has broken off. Best of all there are no tears – our mornings have been transformed!

The original Tangle Teezer retails at around £10.99 online and at a number of high street retailers and salons. There is also a number of other colours and designs available.
