June Empties

I’m not sure if it’s just me but the months are whizzing by and I cannot believe we are in July already! It also means it’s that time when I go through my empties and decide what products have impressed and which ones have disappointed!

So what are my June use-ups?

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover 50ml
I have so many of these minis it’s untrue, the reason being that Clinique seem to include them in every bonus time, and the generous size means they last some time. That’s not a complaint however as this makeup remover is really effective; removing even heavy eye-makeup easily and gently.

Clinique Moisture Surge 30ml
Again this was a Bonus Time sample I digged out to use during the summer. The gel-texture is very hydrating and light. This is something I would definitely purchase a full size of.

Soap&Glory Hand Food 125ml
I got this hand cream in a Soap &Glory gift set at Christmas.  It is very moisturising and I’ve certainly found it to be effective at keeping my hands in good condition, however its scent is disappointing. Also the product had started to seperate despite being well within its shelf life (another blogger noticed this with hers, so it’s not an isolated incident). These aspects let down what is otherwise a great product and would make me reluctant to purchase this seperately.

Natura Bisse Top Ten Complex 15ml
This is a ridiculously expensive serum retailing at £125 for 30mls. I paid nowhere near that and bought it as part of a set with 2 other Natura Bisse serums. This is an intensive repair treatment containing high concentrations of skin growth factor to dramatically renew skin texture, elasticity and suppleness, and I have used it whenever I’ve been recovering from bad acne to help my skin repair quicker. I have found it to really make a difference to my skin’s healing process and when using it I’ve got over breakouts much quicker. It is however extremely expensive, plus UK stockists of Natura Bisse are incredibly limited now, so I highly doubt it will be a repurchase.

Weleda Calendula Body Wash and Body Cream
I use the full Calendula range on a daily basis on my 3 year old as it is one of the few ranges I’ve found that doesn’t cause her skin to become dry. Recently she has had chickenpox and I continued to use the range. I honestly believe the cream helped soothe any itching (my daughter barely scratched despite being covered head to toe in spots) and aided the healing process.

Dior Cleansing Gelee 50ml
I got this in a set ages ago but as I dislike cleansing milks it has remained in my stash for ages. I got it out recently purely to use it up and I have used it to remove makeup before using a facial wash, as part of a double cleanse routine. I would be highly unlikely to buy it ordinarily as I prefer a wash off cleanser. This particular cleansing gelee has been discontinued and superceded by a revamped version.

Benefit Bad Gal Lash mini
This mascara has a large brush which coats the lashes well. I find it builds easily, without clumping, and really amplifies the lashes.

Rimmel BB Cream sample
Despite the tiny 8ml sample size this BB Cream has lasted me pretty much the entire month and I wore it almost daily! I was quite impressed by the longevity and coverage so it will be one product I potentially repurchase at some point.

Glamglow Supermud Face Mask
I enjoyed this face mask but a full sized Supermud is quite pricy and i’m not sure, on the strength of one sample sachet, whether it would be worth the investment in a full size.

Which of your empties would you repurchase and which were overrated?
