Nails of the Day – Nailberry

If you follow any of my social media sites (Instagram, Twitter or Facebook) you may have noticed I haven’t posted any photos of my manicures recently. My nails have been peeling at the tips so I decided the best course of action was to go completely cold turkey; avoiding all polish, as well as cutting my nails right down and liberally applying cuticle oil and hand cream at every given opportunity!

A fortnight on and I decided I’d do my nails using the Nailberry polish I got from the Hip&Healthy Summer Glow Box. My nails are starting to feel stronger and being a 4-free nail lacquer I decided it would be relatively gentle enough.

The lacquer is called Groseille, a gorgeous and warm coral shade, and the formula is lovely and smooth. Even though it appears to be quite thin the polish is still very opaque and applies completely streak free, requiring only 2 coats for full coverage. The finish is really glossy too – although I always finish off my manicure with a top coat for added protection and shine if required.

Nailberry polish is free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Camphor and is also cruelty free. Retailing at £13.50 for 15ml it can be purchased online here.

I’ve started to take a skin, hair and nail supplement, which I hope will improve the condition of my nails. What do you use to keep your nails in good condition?

I use a hair skin and nails supplement, and also use a cuticle oil or balm regularly, and that makes my nails in good condition generally
