Lookfantastic entered the beauty box market this month with their very own box of delights. The box had been in the making for a few months and as a beauty box addict I signed up a while ago to be one of the first that would get to order the box.
Last week Lookfantastic finally unleashed the box and enabled 250 VIPs to preorder the box before the general release date – of course I was one of the lucky few and bagged my box, costing £15, instantly!
Fast forward a week and on 11th September Lookfantastic released the box to everyone, but this time only 100 were available, so they soon sold out. As a VIP my box arrived a little earlier than the main launch, which was great, and I was very excited to find out what this debut box contained.
First out of the box is a 15ml sample of Caudalie Divine Oil (100ml, RRP £27). This is the only product I already have the full size of but as I love it i’m not complaining! This is a multi-use oil that you can use on both your face, body and hair; a great all rounder it is the perfect addition to the box!
I love trying something new and Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum is just that. With my love of natural skincare Jurlique has always been on my radar, I’ve just never got round to trying it so i’m more than happy to find it in my box. This serum from is formulated to reduce fine lines, restore radiance and increase hydration – just what my skin is crying out for. The box contains a decent sized 15ml sample, whilst the full-sized 30ml product retails at £45.
I’ve never tried anything from Kérastase so I’m really excited to see we get not one but two generous sample sized products – Kérastase Nutritive Irisome Bain Satin and Kérastase Nutritive Irisome Lait Vital. Basically this is a shampoo and conditioner duo formulated for normal to slightly dry hair. The shampoo will gently cleanse your hair of dirt, oil and build-up, whilst the conditioner aims to target your driest parts of the hair. A full sized duo costs £22.
I rarely have trouble sleeping but, when on the odd occasion sleep evades me, this next product will be very useful to have on the bedside. Formulated with natural essential oils such as Lavender, Vetivert and Wild Camomile This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray is said to help aid a good night’s sleep, with 89% of people that try it falling asleep quicker. A 75ml spray would cost £16, but here we have 5mls.
Finally the box contains a 50ml travel sized St.Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse (240ml, RRP £30).
This is a lovely lightweight mousse that develops quickly giving a streak-free tan without the giveaway scent. With the poor weather we’ve had recently fake tan is definitely required to give me a glow and I can’t go wrong with this award-winning, cult classic!
The products are beautifully packaged and the matte black box with silver lettering is simple yet stylish. I love how each item comes with a card introducing you to the brand and the product. Also phenomenal is the value, which comes to approximately £54!
Lookfantastic have done a great job with their debut box, showcasing some fantastic brands and demonstrating that they really can be a contender in beauty box marketplace. I’m so impressed that I’ve already pre-ordered next months box (you can do so here too). I hope this is the start of a fabulous beauty box range from Look Fantastic!
Did you manage to get your hands on this box? What did you think to Lookfantastic’s first beauty box?
