I was recently selected to sample STEAMCREAM* for seven days and to report back with my findings. I had used STEAMCREAM quite a number of months ago and enjoyed it but had never written a review. I was very happy to reacquaint myself with what I remember was a lovely cream and was excited when the cutest 25ml tin landed on my doormat.
I haven’t painted my nails in over a week and I’m currently suffering from flu so in an attempt to cheer myself up last night I decided to do a very quick manicure using Hallowe’en themed colours.
I’m not hugely into Hallowe’en or dressing up but as my Twitter and Instagram feeds are full of Hallowe’en inspired nails and makeup tutorials I thought I really should make the effort (even if due to the flu it is only half-arsed)!
The Memebox Superbox #49* has landed on my doorstep to my immense joy and excitement. The arrival of a bright pink jiffy bag emblazoned with the now familiar Memebox logo never fails to brighten up my day, however gray it may be outside.
This box, from the foremost Korean Beauty Box experts, is titled All About Lips and it doesn’t take a genius to surmise that in it will be a whole host of lip products to pep up your pout.
Hello Beauties and welcome to my weekly run-down. I’m happy to report my Mojo has been found and I’ve been in a much more upbeat mood, despite Hurricane Gonzalo beating a path to our door at the start of the week! So what’s been happening in my blogosphere?
Today I have another review I’ve had in the pipeline and have been meaning to bring to you for quite a while. Yes To is a natural skincare brand based in San Francisco, USA, that I was first introduced to when I received their Cucumber Facial Wipes in my April Birchbox. I’m not normally a fan of facial wipes to be perfectly honest but with their natural formula and the way the wipes gently but effectively removed my makeup my head was turned – I definitely had to explore more from this brand. So I went on a little splurge to see what else I could find!
Since birth my daughter has suffered with dry skin and the occasional patch of eczema. After being unhappy with the various creams being prescribed by the GP, none of which made an ounce of difference to her skin, we switched to natural skincare and used Weleda’s Calendula range. The improvement in the condition of her skin was instantanous and miraculous.
Earlier this year Weleda launched a new White Mallow Derma baby range*. Aimed at the most sensitive of skins; the White Mallow range contains extracts of organic White Mallow and pansy to soothe, while organic coconut oil and organic sesame oil provide intensive moisture, and has been awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance. I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to try this range a few months back but as I was already in the middle of using another range of baby products my review has been delayed.
When Gemma from Lipstick and Lashes announced she was doing another round of the Blogger’s Snail Mail I immediately put my name forward; I loved taking part the first time around when I met Sophiia and I couldn’t wait to be paired up with another blogger. As with the Summer Round the rules were simple – get to know you’re Swap Buddy then at the end, with a £5 budget, send them a gift and a letter!
My Lacquer Love box from So Susan Cosmetics has landed. This month’s theme is inspired by Halloween and is aptly named Supernatural, so as you may imagine we’ve got some gorgeous vampy and other-worldly shades in the box.
This week I concluded that I definitely suffer from SAD and it has been quite a tough week as a result. Combine that with burning the candle at both ends and I’ve literally been what us Sheffield folk call a “right mardy cow”. Fortunately however the week wasn’t without its highlights, so join me for my weekly update and find out what I’ve been up to…
