The latest Memebox to land on my doormat is the Memebox Special #31 Earth & Sea Cosmetics* box. The box contains a wonderful array of skincare designed to remove toxins, dirt and oil build, unclog pores and brighten skin. Ingredients such as Charcoal, volcanic ash and mud, together with mineral rich complexes, all combine in this one box to give you your best looking skin yet.
My last couple of Memeboxes have been very makeup based so I was looking forward to seeing what treats this skincare focused box would have in store, especially with the change in season leaving my skin rather lacklustre and in need of some TLC!
Tosowoong Super Aqua Cooling Gel (80g full size $34)- This cooling gel is supposed to strengthen and moisturize the skin, with mineral-rich glacial water, which is definitely welcome now the Summer is a distant memory and the skin-drying central heating has been cranked up. It’s gel-texture is super moisturising yet light, perfect for an oil-prone skin type like mine.
Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack (100g full size $36) – This face mask contains volcanic ash, charcoal, geen tea and pine needle extracts and is also free from artificial colours, fragrance and parabens. Alongside tightening pores and controlling oil, the magic ingredient Volcanic Ash is renowned for being choc-ful of minerals that can do wonders for your skin. It has a cooling sensation on the skin and smells lovely and fresh; afterwards my skin felt smooth and deeply cleansed.
Dewytree Mineral Healthy Sun Cut Loose Powder SPF27 PA++ (10g full size $34) – This is a light, mineral rich powder that provides a long-lasting silky finish to your makeup. I love the packaging of this powder; there’s a mirror on the lid, that when removed reveals a powder puff applicator. It also includes a replacement powder puff. I’ve been on the look out for a new finishing powder so this is great timing!
Shara Shara Black Charcoal Mask (23g full size $2) – This is a single use mask, that containing charcoal and volcanic ash sounds very similar to the previous mask. It also boasts the addition of aloe vera. I love using masks as part of a weekly pamper session so I’m interested in trying this one!
Elizavecca Elastic Pore Mask Cleansing Foam (120ml full size $29) – This cleansing foam is made from charcoal, collagen from pig skin, and spider extracts. Apparently you apply this evenly over the face, as with a mask, but then gently rub it with your fingers for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing. It definitely won’t be everyone’s cup of tea with ingredients like that, particularly if you’re Vegetarian or follow the Jewish or Islamic faith. Fortunately i’m neither, but I am still a little weirded out. Never the less I shall try this cleanser as it does sound fantastic!
Ariul Spa Water 24 Hours Moisturizing Refreshing Mist (100ml full size $18) – I like facial mists and already have a further 3! They are a great way to give the skin an extra burst of hydration throughout the day, especially with the winter months approaching. I always think with the combination of the harsh weather and drying central heating the skin comes under attack even more than usual at this time of year, so upping the hydation is really important. I will probably use this as an additional step between cleansing and moisturising.
