When Gemma from Lipstick and Lashes announced she was doing another round of the Blogger’s Snail Mail I immediately put my name forward; I loved taking part the first time around when I met Sophiia and I couldn’t wait to be paired up with another blogger. As with the Summer Round the rules were simple – get to know you’re Swap Buddy then at the end, with a £5 budget, send them a gift and a letter!
I was hoping for an international swap buddy this time so I was hugely excited when I was paired up with Sara from USA. It was great reading her fantastic blog and seeing what was trending over the pond! Sara is expecting a baby soon and as well as just generally being lovely she is the definition of Yummy Mummy; I am in awe at how glamourous she still manages to look at 36+ weeks. As someone who lived in maternity jeans and smock-style shirts it is a revelation that maternity wear doesn’t have to mean leaving style behind for 9 months. But I digress…
Onto the swap and along with a lovely card Sara sent me an NYX Lip Cream in the most gorgeous colour. She also sent me a cute little fox sticker that had been part of her Baby Shower decor. Such a nice touch!
The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is a velvety, rich lip cream that provides intense, long-lasting colour. The Lip Cream is applied via a doe foot applicator which gives incredible colour with just one swipe, and it has a really creamy, comfortable texture. Once applied, the longevity is impressive with around four hours wear before any touch-ups are necessary and although it dries to a matte finish, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable or too dry.
The colour Sara chose for me is Antwerp and it’s a lovely deep pinky-coral shade; perfect for the Autumn season. I love that this is cruelty-free and very affordable, retailing at around £5.50.
Once again I have really enjoyed participating in the Blogger’s Snail Mail. It’s so much fun getting to know other Bloggers and trying to choose a gift you think they will like and is in some way meaningful!
