October Empties

It’s the first of November which, apart from having a cracking hangover if you attended a Halloween party, means only one thing; an empties post!

Read on and find out what I used up this month and, more importantly, what I thought!

Anatomicals Smother Superior Body Butter
I got this body cream in my last Love Me Beauty box and quite liked it. The texture was very hydrating and the moisture provided was long-lasting, but the smell wasn’t really my cup of tea. If I were to repurchase this product I’d probably try a different scent.

Cowshed Slender Cow Firming Body Butter
Another body butter, this time from a You Beauty Discovery box; this promised to firm stubborn areas like the thighs with its unique formula featuring micro algae. I normally take claims like this with a pinch of salt but I did actually feel like this cream my skin feel firmer and definitely improved the appearence of my cellulite.

Q Body Spray
I bought this on offer in Boots and quite liked the scent. The compact size means it’s quite convenient for putting in my handbag for freshening up on the go.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara
I really love this mascara, it definitely gives my lashes oomph and has great staying power. Even though it can be tough to remove the impact it gives my lashes is totally worth it and I will definitely repurchase this at some point.

Yes To Cucumbers Facial Wipes
These wipes are really refreshing and do a good job of shifting even stubborn makeup, plus they’re 99% natural and really gentle. Although I wouldn’t use wipes daily they are great in emergencies and I like these particular ones enough that I already have a full sized pack.

Decleor Gel Demaquillant
This is a gentle gel cleanser that is aimed at oily skin. It is effective enough and leaves my skin feel very clean but I’m not wowed by it so much that I’d rush out to repurchase it immediately.

Clinique Airbrush Concealer
This under eye brightener and concealer has lasted ages. It did its job although a lot of lower priced cosmetic ranges do decent light-reflecting concealers these days so at £19 I’ll probably save my cash and splurge it elsewhere. I’ve already bought a Nip+Fab concealer to replace this one (review here).

Onto my samples;

Garnier Oil Infused Moisturising Lotion
I really enjoyed this Argan, Macadamia, Almond and Rose oil infused cream. It has a rich, silky texture and lovely scent. I’ve been impressed with a lot of Garnier offerings recently so I can imagine I will buy this when I am next in need of a new body lotion.

Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream
Another sample I received, this was also effective, although out of the two I preferred the Garnier lotion.

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Bath & Shower Oil
I loved this sample of the Revive Bath & Shower Oil, even if it did only last for a couple of baths. A full size is around £40 so it probably isn’t a product i’ll be buying myself soon, but I may stick it on the Christmas list and drop my husband a few large hints!
