My November You Beauty Discovery box arrived a few days ago and normally its arrival would be heralded by much excitement. This month however I was so poorly that it sat there on the coffee table, unopened, until I could muster up the strength and enthusiasm to open it.
As with every month You Beauty Discovery sent subscribers a list of options through in an email which included the following products from which to choose: Roques O’Neil Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts; Rituals Hammam Delight Shower Foam; Magnifibres Brush-on False Lashes; Invisibobbles; Green People Forest Brown Eyeliner Pencil; Bourjois Cream Blush; Argan Organics Anti-wrinkle Cream; Skin & Tonic Cleansing Balm.
I must admit there have been more exciting months from You Beauty Discovery, nevertheless it was still a solid line-up and there were enough products that grabbed my attention and meant I awoke on 1st November eager to log on and make my selection.
So what graced the inside of my You Beauty Discovery box this month?
The first item I selected was the Roques O’Neil Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts. I’d tried these salts before and although I’m not entirely sold on the whole detox concept I loved the super-relaxing, skin-softening properties of the blend. The 100g sachet has an RRP £9.99 so already covers the subscription cost. I can’t wait to have a pamper session and encorporate these bath salts!
The second item that jumped out at me from the shortlist was the Skin & Tonic Steam Clean Cleansing Balm 20g (Full size 50g, RRP £27). This cleansing balm has been carefully formulated from a blend of organic oils including Beeswax, Grapeseed, Thistle, Borage, Eucalyptus and Spearmint Oils to melt and lift away grime, rejuvenating tired and sullen skin. Handmade, cruelty-free and 100% natural – it sounds amazing! I’m a fairly recent convert to cleansing balms and, being a British brand that is entirely new to me, i’m eager to give this good-sized sample a try!
Onto the extras and this month we have two sachets from Merumaya to sample – a Melting Cleansing Balm and some Iconic Youth Serum – along with a sachet of Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder, which is a rich source of vitamin C and can be blended into smoothies or sprinkled onto cereal, porridge or yoghurt.
Yet again this little box from You Beauty Discovery has proved to be well worth its teeny £6.95 pricetag. I love the way it offers subscribers an opportunity to sample new beauty products from well-known, as well as niche brands, at an affordable price.
