The British Beauty Blogger Dream Box 2

Jane AKA the British Beauty Blogger has done it again with her fourth beauty box. Like the last box this has been produced in conjunction with Latest In Beauty and it proved so popular it broke the internet. Yes, Latest In Beauty had to take the box down and set up a sort of reservation system to ease traffic – congratulations Jane, I think that means this box is a success!

Luckily I made the waitlist and bagged my Dream Box 2 the next day for £22.95 including postage. Promising to be choc full of well known, great quality brands I knew I was going to be more than happy with the box and its arrival just 3 days after ordering was met with much excitement!

Let’s take a closer look at the contents.

NUDE Skincare Deluxe Pro Genius Treatment Oil (10ml) – This highly nourishing oil is packed with Omega Oils that soothe and protect the skin. First introduced to this brand by Birchbox, it’s become a firm favourite of mine so i’m happy to see this product make an appearance.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream  (15ml) – Said to hydrate your skin for up to 48 hours without greasiness and with a lightweight touch this sounds like the perfect cream for anyone with combination skin like myself. I’m yet to try Vichy but this looks like a nice place to start.

Kerastase BAIN SATIN 1 (30ml) & Kerastase LAIT VITAL (20ml) – I got this shampoo and conditioner duo in my very first LookFantastic box and it’s great. These will make good travel sizes for when we’re visiting family over Christmas. The range is great for normal to slightly dry hair, although all hair types will get something out of these amazing products.

Mio Double Buff (50ml) – I love Mio’s active skincare and this is the exfoliator from the range. Free from nasties, the exfoliator has a double action, using both physical exfoliators (Pumice, Lava and Bamboo) and fruit enzymes (Papaya and Pineapple) to gently slough away and dissolve any rough, dry skin.

Le Couvent des Minimes Gardener’s Hand Healer (25ml) – As a keen gardener this product piques my interest. My hands get really neglected outside I don’t wear gardening gloves so this will be a useful product. It will also be great for those who don’t garden as the often savage winter weather takes its toll on everyone’s hands. This brand is new to the UK and the formula contains 20% Shea Butter and 7 botanicals so sounds divine.

The Body Shop® Beautifying Oils in Olive (100ml) – Newly launched this year this range features 9 different oils including Shea, Coconut, Macadamia, Argan and Pink Grapefruit. I’ve received the Olive variant in my box which I’m pleased with as I already have the coconut one!

Sleek MakeUP Mini Pout Polish in The Show (1x 4.5g pot) – Sleek’s eyeshadow palettes have really impressed me but I’ve never tried any of their other makeup. This pout polish feels great, with a soft, non sticky formula that gives a wash of colour. Apparently this is one of two shades that are exclusive to the BBB Box!

LOLA Make Up Ultra Shine Lipstick in Strawberry Fields (full size 4g) – I have a LOLA lipstick which I love but is a matte texture and is a rather vampy shade. This soft pink will be a nice contrast!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick SPF15 (3.7g) – I defy anyone to say they’ve never heard of Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream! Well here is the matching Lip Protectant that will be perfect for winter. As well as a highly moisturising formula, another bonus to this product is the UV protection.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Duo (full size) – One of Bourjois’ best-selling products this dual shade bronzer is ideal for contouring and it smells of chocolate – delicious!

Eylure Brow Crayon in Mid Brown (0.23g) – I love brow products as my sparse brows need all the help they can get. I’ve got palettes and gels but not a pencil so this is a great addition to my makeup arsenal. It’s said to be long-lasting and easy to blend for a natural looking brow.

Ciaté London Lashlights in Electric (6.5ml) – A product that launched earlier this year Lashlights is a highly pigmented coloured mascara you apply to the tips of your lashes for a fun effect. Avaiable in six shades, it’s a great idea for parties.

Ardell Natural Style Demi Wispies (Full Size) – I’m not really a wearer of false lashes. I have neither the patience nor the need as i’m lucky that I get a good enough lash with the help of a decent mascara. These would be good for the party season however and they do look quite natural, unlike some lashes, so I may take the plunge!

Essie Nail Polish in Toggle to The Top (5ml) – This is a brilliantly festive glitter polish from Essie, and I love the jewel shade!

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (8.5g) – Burt’s Bees is a firm favourite of mine and I always have a tin of this Cuticle Cream in my bag. It smells of Lemon Sherbert and really does smooth ragged cuticles with its 100% natural formula that is rich in almond oil.

Invisibobble The Traceless Hair Ring (3x hair rings) – These unusual looking bobbles are supposed to secure your hair without snagging or kinking the hair – ingenious! I don’t have hair long enough to tie back however so this is an item I can’t make use of yet, but I am growing my hair so i’ll put these to one side. Perhaps if I manage to grow it long enough to tie back I’ll give these a go.

Agent Provocateur FATALE (2ml vial) – This perfume is a twist on Agent Provocateur’s classic fragrance and is a combination of floral and oriental scents. I’ve tried this before and liked it a lot so i’ll save it for a night out.

The BBB Dream Box 2 is an amazing box and its value, which exceeds £129, blows me away. The variety of products too is phenomenal with pretty much a full top-toe beauty routine included! With only 2000 available I’m really happy I got hold of one and if you hurry you can to as a few are still available here.

That’s a shame! It did last a lot longer than the 1st, which sold out within hours, although maybe that was because of the website issue and waitlist system. X
