My second unboxing from the Memebox Colorbox series is the Jewel Tones box and sadly this was the most disappointing of the three boxes.
Are you tired of storing endless bottles of nail polish? Do you have loads of shades which you only used once? Does your nail polish go gloopy after a few applications? Well meet the new subscription-based nail lacquer rental service that may just be the solution to your problems!
My latest Memeboxes to be delivered were the Colorboxes; three boxes consisting of Jewel, Pastel and Electric Bright makeup. After receiving some brilliant makeup boxes earlier in the year I had high hopes for these and at $15 each (or $30 for the set) they were cheap enough so I took the punt and ordered all three. The boxes arrived shortly before Christmas, however with the busy holiday and illness I’ve only just had the time to properly investigate the contents; the first of which is the Electric Brights box.
The Memebox Special #42 OMG 3 Box* was supposed to be filled with “wacky” products from Korea and having had and loved the OMG2 box I was super excited to find the third installment of this box winging it’s way to me for my perusal!
I was incredibly lucky in November and won a bespoke beauty Advent Calender from Kat of Tales of A Pale Face blog. As I was being restrained and desperately trying not to purchase any of the amazing beauty calenders out there I was over the moon; not to mention the fact that from reading her blog I knew she has great taste and would no doubt put together a great selection of goodies.
So what was in my one-of-a-kind advent calender?
I was tagged to do this post by Angie of Chocolate & Lipstick and it’s funny she should mention in her post that she’s been unwell and not feeling the Christmas spirit because I too have been ill. In fact all 3 of us have been coughing and spluttering since the beginning of December and I’m pretty sick of it right now.
Anyway, the realisation hit me a couple of nights ago, whilst cleaning up after a poorly daughter who was sick 3 times in bed, that I only had just over a week to get ready for Christmas and apart from decorating I’ve pretty much done nada. So the following day I dragged my ass into town and bought a few bits. Consequently i’m feeling a little calmer and a little more festive*, so with a glass of port in hand it’s time to do the 15 Festive Favourites Tag!
My So Susan Lacquer Love box landed today and with the theme Celebration it has arrived just in time for the start of the festive season. As with every month the box consists of four polishes – this time Violaceous, Lipstick, Merry Mulberry and Gold Foil – plus a free makeup gift, all packed into a beautiful So Susan branded gift box.
This year I’ve really got enthusiastic about oils in all their forms. Hair oils, facial oils, cleansing oils, body oils – I really can’t get enough of the luxurious texture and the results I get. I especially love body oils and I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourites.
This summer Kat from Tales Of A Pale Face organised a blog swap. I love the idea of getting to know another blogger and had already taken part in a similar swap so I jumped at the chance. This swap was to be slightly different as once paired up we were able to choose our own budget. As my previous swap had a £5 limit this flexibility was great as it meant our gifts needn’t be as limited.
I’ve followed Yes To since they were relatively new to the market here in the UK and very early on have been a fan of their affordable, effective, natural products. Already a convert to their Tomato range I was really happy when, earlier this year, I won a competition and received some of their Yes To Cucumber Products.
