Yes To Cucumbers

I’ve followed Yes To since they were relatively new to the market here in the UK and very early on have been a fan of their affordable, effective, natural products. Already a convert to their Tomato range I was really happy when, earlier this year, I won a competition and received some of their Yes To Cucumber Products.

The Yes To Cucumber range utilises the incredibly hydrating and soothing properties of Cucumber to calm and refresh sensitive skin. All the products are fresh, light and gentle – the perfect antedote to drying winter winds at this time of year, or (if you’re lucky enough to have been to warmer climes) to sun exposure.

Yes To Cucumbers Calming Facial Mask (£11.99) – This is a gentle moisture boost for tired, sensitive skin. Nutrient rich and featuring ingredients such as organic cucumber and green tea extract, it gives skin vital hydration and rejuvenates tired complexions. 97% natural and free from Parabens, SLS and Mineral Oils this is a revelation for someone who’s never, until now, used a hydrating mask. Used when i’m feeling tired or my skin looks lacklustre this really perks my complexion back up!

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel (15ml, £11.99) – This colourless, fragrance free, 97% natural gel gently calms, soothes and smoothes your eye area, lessening the appearence of fine lines and dark circles as well as preventing further damage to the delicate eye area. A great tip if you are prone to puffiness is to keep this in the fridge so it’s super cool. Because I have oily skin I sometimes find eye-creams melt into my eyes, making them sting and water. This gel is perfect because it is light, non-greasy and sinks into the skin. It’s very cooling and hydrating, and the ideal solution for tired eyes.

Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Soothing Facial Wipes (30 wipes £3.99) – These facial wipes gently remove dirt, sweat and makeup without the need to rinse – perfect when you haven’t got the time or energy to do a full cleansing routine. I won’t lie; I’ve never particularly liked wipes and always consider them a last resort, but they are the lesser of two evils and it’s always better to use a wipe than leave makeup on all night. The Yes To Cucumbers wipes have converted me slightly – I’d still never use a wipe daily but once a week I tend to use these when I’m late home from band practice. Because they’re 99% natural, unlike other brands’ wipes I don’t worry about using them and leaving a thin film of chemicals on my face. They are also very moist and don’t have the rough feeling some other wipes can often have.

As well as being kind to your pocket the Yes To ranges are also kind to our animal friends and are completely cruelty-free. The whole range including Yes To Blueberries, Carrots, Grapefruits and Cucumbers is readily available since its launch in Boots stores just a few months ago, plus a little birdy has revealed we will see the Yes To Coconuts range in 2015. Excited much!

Enjoyed reading this! I recently discovered the Yes to… range and have tried the face mask (tomatoes) and the face scrub (grapefruit), getting great results with both. (I also have reviews on these). I’ll definitely be trying out the cucumber range. I like the idea of natural facial wipes when you’re in a rush, as well as a gentle eye cream that’s not irritating. Good to hear about coconut too…love the smell!
