So Susan Lacquer Love – December Review

My So Susan Lacquer Love box landed today and with the theme Celebration it has arrived just in time for the start of the festive season. As with every month the box consists of four polishes – this time Violaceous, Lipstick, Merry Mulberry and Gold Foil – plus a free makeup gift, all packed into a beautiful So Susan branded gift box.

So Susan – Violaceous
Violaceous is a delicate lilac polish full of tiny metallic flakes which give a pearlescent finish. On the swatches I am wearing three coats with no top coat. The polish was easy to apply but being sheer needs a few coats for full coverage. This would lend itself very well to applying over a base colour.

So Susan – Merry Mulberry
Merry Mulberry is a dramatic dark blue polish with shimmer finish. This polish is easy to apply and fast drying. On the swatch I am wearing two coats with no top coat, which demonstrates just how glossy the finish is.

So Susan – Lipstick
Lipstick is a Santa-suit red polish with creme finish and it is a one coat wonder, applying smoothly and with no streaks. On the swatch I am wearing it with no top coat and it has a fabulous shine.

So Susan – Gold Foil
Gold Foil is a golden glitter polish in a slightly yellow tinted base. The glitter is very dense and in my swatch I am wearing two coats. The polish applied smoothly and will look great worn alone or as a sparkly top-coat.

Our free gift this month is the So Susan Universal Blush (RRP £17.95). This is a micronized, jet-milled blush that contains Buriti Fruit Oil to repair the epidermis and improve skin elasticity. The blush contains a slight shimmer, lending a subtle luminousity to the skin, and is a really flattering warm pink shade. It’s texture is so soft and glides on like a dream.

So Susan nail lacquers are enriched with Rosehip fruit oil to moisturise and strengthen your nails and are also 4-free, meaning they contain no Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde or Formaldehyde resin. They retail at £6.95 each and are all individually packed in beautifully illustrated boxes.

This box has a great array of colours that will definitely see me through the party season; I love the wide variety of finishes and colours, and the quality of the polishes is excellent. At £14.95 including p&p this box is incredible value.
