Memebox Colorbox #6 Pastel Hues

My final installment of the Memebox Colorbox series is the Pastel Hues box. You can read my previous unboxings here and here.

So far these boxes from Korea’s number one beauty box service Memebox haven’t really hit the mark, so lets see if the third box was any better.

Revecen Moisture Shine Lip Gloss in Apricot Pink ($16)
Formulated with olive oil this lip gloss is very moisturising but the colour payoff is somewhat lacking. Nevertheless I like the formula and for an everyday sort of makeup look this gloss is fine.

Revecen Colour Eye Shadow in Pearl Turquoise ($10)
This is a lovely coloured eyeshadow and it has a decent level of pigmentation. The creamy powder promises to be waterproof and smudge proof which is a bonus too.

Revecen Face Control Foundation in Yellow ($22)
This cream to powder colour corrector balances out the skin, covering up blemishes and areas of pigmentation lines up. Blended with green tea extracts and magnolia extracts its gentle and suitable on all skin types. I already have this product in violet which works to counteract any sallowness in my complexion, but as this is one is yellow I think this would be better suited to my husband whose skin has a tendency to get red and irritated.

Revecen Perfect Star Powder 03 Pink ($11)
This shimmery loose powder can be used anywhere you want add a little sparkle, and for a bolder look you can also use it wet. I’m not a huge fan of loose powders but the texture is very fine, and there isn’t much fall-out.

The swatches:

This box is nice enough but not really exciting. I was disappointed to see the products were all from Revecen, and as with Electric Brights and Jewel Tones it felt more like a Memebox were showcasing a brand, rather than fulfilling the expections of their customers. I would’ve loved to see Memebox mix it up by including other brands from the wide ranging selection they have on sale in the Memeshop.

With the Colorboxes I expected 3 very different, and distinct, makeup themed boxes. The reality however was somewhat disappointing, but at least the price ($30 plus $6.99 shipping) for all three boxes was cheap enough and I still have some decent products to play around with.

Memebox ships to around 50 destinations worldwide direct from Korea at a cost of $6.99 (approx £4.20) for UK standard shipping, which is quoted at taking between 10 and 2 days. I am yet to be hit with customs charges or taxes on any of the boxes I’ve received!

You can explore all of Memebox’s current boxes here and if you do see a box or product that takes your fancy do use my exclusive code LPGW2R to get $3 off any $30 spend at checkout (valid until January 31st).

Did you get the Colorboxes? What did you think to the product selection?
