Skin Repair – All Over Me Review

Always on the look out for suitable skincare for my daughter’s sensative, eczema-prone skin I was super happy when I was contacted by Skin Repair a couple months ago and asked if I’d like to try their All Over Me cream*.

The Skin Repair range was created using a progressive skin treatment methodology that combines nature and science, and has proven it is possible to achieve a healthy skin by preventing or reducing structural inflammation. This is done by strengthening and repairing the top layer of skin. Once strengthened, the skin will be able to protect itself from bacteria and irritants which ultimately enter the skin barrier and cause the skin to attack itself, resulting in the outward symptoms of eczema and other skin concerns.

By excluding preservatives, perfumes, emulsifiers and other so-called nasties Skin Repair has formulated a ‘skin similar’ base that will not impair the natural barrier of the skin. Whilst other companies have attempted to create less harmful emulsifiers, Skin Repair has excluded them entirely as they work in a similar way to detergents, stripping the skin of its natural protective oils.

All Over Me (50ml, £24.99) is just one of Skin Repair’s products which encompasses their principles. With natural, skin loving ingredients like evening primrose oil, Vitamin E and shea butter it is gentle yet provides deep hydration to the dryest of skins.  Used on my daughters very dry skin All Over Me improved the texture of her skin not only immediately but also over time, and I found that her skin still felt hydrated 12 hours after application and after bathing. This is a rarity as normally her skin drinks up lotions and soon feels dry again! Since using All Over Me in December she has had no eczema flare-ups, even in problem areas such as the backs of her knees. The texture of this colourless, fragrance-free cream is lightweight and readily absorbed yet extremely nourishing, making it perfect for wriggly toddlers who never stand still for long enough to rub thick lotions in. My only slight complaint is that i’d love to see this sold in a supersize version!

All Over Me is one product in a very thorough range that also includes a bath oil, body wash, suncream as well as a complete skincare routine. With products aimed at babies, teenagers and aging skin, and numerous skin concerns catered for including eczema, rosacea, psoriasis and sensitivity Skin Repair really do have something for everyone.

Isn’t it! All the creams the GP prescribed my daughter were just awful! Full of mineral oils and chemicals and did nothing. She had a reaction to one of them too 😦
