So Susan LipLove Bag – April

The “I Love Flowers In Spring” bag is the latest in the So Susan Cosmetics LipLove subscription. Inspired by the emerging flowers of Spring this collection is all about brightening up your makeup look with an infusion of colour, a touch of luminousity and a healthy glow. Inside the beautifully printed and generously sized canvas bag are four products that aim to set your complexion alight, so cast off your winter scarves, delve in to the contents of the lovely bag and say hello to a sun-kissed complexion.

First out of the bag is the very interesting looking Wonderlight in Pink Whisper (RRP £12), a two in one product consisting of a luminizer at one end and an eyeshadow primer come under-eye perfector at the other end. With light-reflecting chromospheres the luminizer is great used as a highlighter (it’s rather similar to Benefit’s High Beam) and the creamy under-eye corrector and primer is great for disguising dark circles and as a perfect base for a crease-free eyeshadow.

Next we have the Colour Hybrid in Marsala (RRP £15); a new addition to the So Susan range this a dual lip and cheek colour. The mousse-like formula is velvety soft and highly pigmented, and the addition of Organic Sacha Inchi Oil and Jasmine extract keeps your lips feeling moist and kissably-soft. It also has a most delicious strawberry scent. A little of this product goes a very long way making it great value.

The third item is the 8-Hour Cheek Stain in Orchid (RRP £25). This cheek stain is effectively a balm which you apply to cheeks to give them a healthy flush of colour. You can simply apply it directly from the stick then blend out using your fingers, and if you require a more intense colour it is easy to build up. This is a great size so will last ages and it boasts waterproof, eight hour wear meaning it should be great as the temperature starts to rise and makeup begins to slide off the face!

The bonus makeup product this month is Caribbean Sun in Aruba from Jelly Pong Pong (RRP £16). Housed in a travel friendly compact complete with mirror this is a blusher and bronzer duo in very flattering, natural looking tones. The fragrance-free formula is infused with skin friendly Argan oil and moisturising Mango Butter and the powder is silky soft and buildable.

The final bonus item is a pair of Camellia Flower Grips (RRP £4) which is a ever so cute hair accessory. I’m growing my hair and am constantly pushing back my fringe so these slides are very welcome and will be the perfect addition to my Spring wardrobe.

So Susan have curated another stunning LipLove bag this month and with contents worth an incredible £72 it is fantastic value considering it costs just £14.95 including postage. As well as the fantastic products I love the canvas bag which each month sports a different design, this month’s being a very apt floral print with Henri Matisse quote. If you’re a fan of makeup and fancy shaking up your routine with some new products this subscription service is definitely ideal!
