May’s Lookfantastic Beauty Box has arrived and as with previous months I simply couldn’t wait to share its contents with you all!
As usual tucked within the interior of the classy, understated matte black box are an array of mid and high-end beauty products. For £15 a month expect a good mix of haircare, makeup, skin- and bodycare along with the occasional surprise of a beauty tool or lifestyle item. So what’s in May’s box?
The first product out of this month’s box – a 5ml sample of Omorovicza Cleansing Balm (50ml, £46) – is from a brand I’ve been lusting after for some time. Omorovicza is high-end skincare brand that hails from Hungary and their luxurious products first piqued my interest when I was browsing Instagram. Omorovicza’s Thermal Cleansing Balm is an award-winning black balm that utilizes Calcium and Magnesium-rich Hungarian Moor Mud to cleanse and detoxify the skin, while sweet almond oil provides nourishment, resulting in a clean but soft complexion. As you’d expect too the packaging screams luxury too.
Next up we have a generous 50ml travel sized product in the shape of the Christophe Robin Regenerating Hair Mask (250ml, RRP £50). Containing rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Inula Flower Extract this hair mask works to restore and revitalise dry and damaged hair from root to tip, protecting even coloured hair. It also helps to stimulate your scalp and protect the hair from split ends and further breakages; the perfect product for repairing hair that’s been damaged on holiday by sun, sea and chlorine.
The third item is a 2ml sample of Erno Laszlo Transphase Night Serum (30ml, RRP £161). This serum boasts some impressive sounding ingredients Glycosaminoglycans, Matrixyl 3000 and Gatuline Expression which promise to boost collagen production, reduce fine lines and relax the facial muscles. With the full size product priced at an eye-watering £161 i’m expecting good things!
Moving on we have a great sized 100ml sample of TANWORX Self-Tanning Lotion from Monu Skincare (200ml, RRP £20) and the sun came then it left us again this is most welcome. This paraben-free self tan promises to moisturise whilst providing instant colour that develops into a long-lasting, streak-free tan.
The fifth item is a pair of Eylure Pre-Glued Lashes (RRP £5.50). This is the least exciting item for me as I don’t tend to wear false lashes however this are quite subtle and lightweight, and being pre-glued means they should be fairly easy to apply so perhaps I’ll give them a whirl.
The last item is 10ml of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or (RRP £7.99), a multi-use dry oil that gives a slight golden shimmer to your face, body and hair. The original Huile Prodigieuse dry oil is quite a cult classic and one I’ve often considered purchasing. Much like the original version this oil sinks into the skin quickly and without leaving your skin overly greasy, but the addition of the little golden particles that give the skin a beautiful glow. With 95.2% of the ingredients being of natural origin, including Borage, St. John’s Wort, Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnut and Macadamia oils, and being free-from preservatives, Silicone and Mineral oil this oil is wonderfully nourishing and is the icing on the cake of an already great box.
For £15 (or less if you preorder 3, 6 or 12 months) this box is really great value and will definitely get you feeling prepared for summer. Lookfantastic are yet to disappoint and I’d thoroughly recommend hopping over to www.lookfantastic.com to find out how you can get your hands on this great beauty discovery box.
