Just two weeks ago CEW UK held their glittering award ceremony in London where a whole host of fantastic beauty brands and products were recognised. Hot off the back of the awards and just as they had done last year You Beauty Discovery have launched a fabulous limited edition box packed full products from the worthy award winners and shortlisted nominees that is available to purchase on their website now!
Let’s take a look inside to see what products were amongst the incredible winners and runners up of this most prestigious of accolades.
First up we have a full sized Dr Organic Snail Gel (50ml, £19.99) which was nominated for Best New Everyday Facial Skincare Product – Mass category. Snail extract has been a buzz ingredient in skincare for quite a while thanks to its powerful moisturising, soothing, and anti-ageing properties and here it is harnessed along with hydrating aloe vera to create a light, deeply nourishing cream.
Next is the runner up of Best British Brand Elemis with their Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (30ml, RRP £50). Elemis is celebrating its 25th year in the beauty industry and this cream is probably their most well-known products. Utilising chlorella freshwater algae, porphyridium seaweed and gingko biloba it is said to reduce the appearance of wrinkle depth by up to 78% and increase hydration by up to 45% – little wonder this product attracts such attention.
The next products in the box were both nominated for Best New Makeup Product for Eyes or Lips – Prestige category. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (RRP £19) was pipped to the post by Benefit They’re Real Pushup Liner (RRP £18.50) which created a real stir when it launched last year and here we have generous samples of each to test drive.
Moving on we have a 40ml sample of Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (150ml, RRP £29) which was runner-up in the Best Classic Beauty Product – Prestige category and is no stranger to the CEW Awards having been crowned runner up in 2014 too. This is a product I know and love already and it works wonders to restore stressed out hair.
The products just keep coming and the sixth item was runner up in the Best New Self Tan – Mass or Prestige category. Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Lotion (150ml, RRP £37.50) is a self tan for face and body containing nourishing hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. It promises an odour free tan that lasts up to four times longer than other brands. We have a 25ml sample here complete with tanning mit.
The next product was runner up in the Best New Everyday Facial Skincare Product – Mass category, although the brand won the prestigious Best New Brand – Mass category. The Bee Good 2 in 1 Cream Cleanser (100ml, £11.50) utilises home-grown crambe oil, propolis and wild flower honey to create a soothing cleanser that melts away the day’s grime and makeup leaving a radiant complexion. At 30ml and including a cleansing cloth this is another generous sample.
The runner up in the Best New Brand -Prestige category makes an appearance next with a 5ml sample sachet of their Miracle Cleanser (120ml, RRP £34). Aurelia Probiotic Skincare has already clocked up numerous awards and is stocked in luxury retailers such as Space NK and Liberty, so i’m excited to give the cleanser a try.
The final item is one to pass on to the man in your life, a 2ml sample Lalique Encre Noire Sport (100ml, RRP £62), a delicious scent that combines grapefruit and bergamot with vetiver and Île Bourbon.
