e.l.f. Cosmetics – The Return

Last year I fell for e.l.f. Cosmetics budget-friendly makeup in a big way, then in the Spring of 2015 they pulled out of the UK market leaving a lot of bereft fans, myself included. So I was very excited to see an email from them recently announcing they are planning on a huge comeback this Summer.

Hailing from New York e.l.f. specialises in affordable, cruelty-free colour cosmetics, and is distributed throughout Europe and North America. With prices ranging from £1 to around £6 products can be hit or miss, but there are some definite gems to be had. My favourites are their blushes and lip products, so I thought I’d introduce you to some of them in today’s post.

Doll White Review

Teeth whitening has become big business in the last few years and with numerous celebrities flashing impossibly white smiles it’s no wonder people want to achieve sparkling teeth too. Once upon a time you would have had to visit your dentist and pay hundreds of pounds to pursue a brighter, whiter smile, but now there is a multitude of products on the high street that promise to lift and prevent staining, from mouthwashes and toothpastes, to at-home whitening kits.

Doll White is one such product, and I was recently set their 14 day kit to try. I wasn’t sure what to expect if I’m honest, as most products I’ve tried have resulted in very little to no change in the whiteness of my teeth, but I must admit I was pleasantly surprised – not only with the results but also the uncomplicated process.

I love hitting the gym as much as I can, I find it the best way to boost my mood, energy levels and self confidence, but what I hate is having a gym bag weighed down with things I don’t need. Tanning with Sunkissed

Summer has been a bit of a let-down so far this year. So far since June began, apart from about 3 days of sunshine, it’s been dull, damp and cold here in Lancashire, more like the weather we get in March or April than mid-summer. Luckily I have an array of self-tanners to chose from to keep my skin looking bronzed for the time-being and today I’m exploring a purse-friendly duo from Sunkissed that promises to give you the perfect tan regardless of the weather.

Naturisimo Travel Essentials Box

Since I began blogging last year my awareness about what goes into beauty products and the impact certain ingredients may have in our bodies has really grown. Nowadays I’m much more likely to check labels to see what is inside a particular product and clearly many others are doing the same, as a result a wealth of organic, ethical and natural beauty brands have sprung up.

Naturisimo is a company that stocks only natural beauty products and recently they began bringing their customers Discovery Boxes – neat little boxes chocful of sample and travel sized products priced at just £9.95 – that give a taster of what they offer. Each box has a theme and the most recent one is the very aptly named Travel Essentials which, containing a great array of top-to-toe treats, is perfectly timed for the summer holidays.

Mask Maven by Beauteque – June 2015

If you read my blog regularly you may have noticed I used to post quite regularly about Korean subscription box company Memebox, however they sadly pulled out of the international market earlier this year and since then I’ve been desperately missing my K-Beauty fix – especially the fantastic sheet masks. Then Beauteque literally walked into my life, offering me the chance to review their Mask Maven service and of course I said yes!

Included each month is a selection of different types of masks, including sheet masks, hand and feet masks, hair masks, washoff masks, and more all tucked into a cute organza bag, however June’s bag is firmly focused on skincare – just where I like it. Read on as I reveal the the masks that feature this month.

Wet Shave Club Review

The male grooming industry has really exploded, with more men than ever before growing and styling what seems to be must-have facial hair, whether it’s the perfectly waxed ‘tache or oiled beard. On the other hand we ladies, whilst clamouring for the latest MAC collaboration, seem to neglect that part of grooming, opting to rid our unwanted body hair with blunt disposable razors and cheap shaving foam – or maybe it’s just me?

American based company Wet Shave Club recognised the growing interest in male grooming and premium shaving products and responded with a monthly subscription box along with an online store selling shaving products. But not to leave ladies out has also launched a Ladies Box, with a few tweaks to make it suitable to our needs.

Whether it’s the male box or ladies box with Wet Shave Club you’ll enjoy a hand-picked selection of the best wet shave products and accessories available, delivered straight to your door each and every month. So without further ado let’s delve into my box and see what’s inside.
