As well as the long awaited sunshine arriving yesterday so did June’s Pink Parcel. Alongside the necessary sanitary items that this monthly subscription service delivers sits a handful of beauty and lifestyle treats to ensure you look and feel fabulous regardless of the time of month! As usual I was excited to delve into the box so join me as I reveal the contents.
First out of the box is MUA Power Pout Pencil in Crazy In Love (RRP £3) – Power Pout is a lip treatment that relieves dry, cracked lips providing immediate moisturisation as well as providing a pretty pop of colour. The handy pencil-style applicator twists up for ease of use.
Next we have Maybelline Colour Show Vintage Leather nail varnish in Mudslide Tote (RRP £2.99) – This charcoal-gray nail polish dries down to a matte “leather-look” finish and is quite unusual. The jury’s still out on whether I like this particular polish and I was hoping for a brighter summery shade, but as boxes contain a mix of colours it is down to the luck of the draw.
Moving on we have a 15ml sample of SASS Intimate Cleanser (value £1) which is what it says on the tin. I can’t say I’ve ever thought to buy a seperate cleanser for my lady parts, but apparently some do. SASS promises their cleanser gently purifies to ensure everyday freshness and maintain intimate harmony.
Our final beauty product is a pack of 30 Quickies Eye Make-Up Remover Pads (RRP £2.09) – These are always useful for removing stubborn makeup before a full cleanse and they’re also great for travelling and festival season. These are said to be moisturising and suitable for sensitive skin.
In addition to the beauty items is a selection of lifestyle products and yummy treats including a pack of
LA LA Land Limited Edition POPCULT pencils, created just for Pink Parcel subscribers, a Beautea teabag, a delicious BeautiQ Superfood chocolate bar and a pack of Nairn’s Muesli Breaks oatcakes.
Each Pink Parcel also contains 25 tampons (or sanitary towels if that is your preference) as standard, tucked into a neat little drawstring bag, and subscribers can choose from a selection of well known brands including Kotex, Lilets and Tampax as well as selecting when and how long their cycle is.
I have to say that the beauty content of this box doesn’t grab me quite as much as previous boxes however it is still a good selection and well worth the £9.95 subscription. I’d love to hear your verdict on the Pink Parcel service and the June line-up, so do leave your comments below!
