We don’t have a LUSH store in my town so naturally when I’m in another city and pass one I feel compelled to duck inside and snap up a few goodies. A few weeks I was in Preston and picked up a few bath bombs for myself and my four year old daughter, who is equally as obsessed by Lush as I am, to enjoy.
First I picked Space Girl (£2.35), a bomb I’ve been lusting after a while. Described as a “space-dust filled bath bomb with a sweet and fruity fragrance” this bomb fizzes and crackles with popping candy, while grapefruit oil refreshes and tones the skin, and bergamot helps you unwind.
The next bomb I chose is my daughter’s favourite Rose Queen (£2.75), because she loves all the petals that fill the bath as the bomb fizzes. The bomb is packed with dozens of petals including blue mallow, tiger lily, honeysuckle, apple blossom and amaranth flower, which swirl around you, and as it fizzes releases its light floral scent.
The third product I selected is the very vibrant Big Blue (£3.35). Its key ingredient is arame seaweed, which is rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish the skin. With sea salt to soften and exfoliate, lemon oil to clear the mind and antiseptic lavender oil this is the perfect bath bomb to cleanse, detoxify and refresh both body and mind. I’ve not tried this one before but it looks and sounds amazing so I can’t wait to use it.
Next on my shopping list was the Blackberry Bath Bomb (£3.25). This bomb contains Bergamot and Frankincense oils, both of which ease tension, anxiety and aid relaxation making it deal for use after a long or stressful day. To look at this bath bomb looks very unassuming and, dare I say, quite dull but it is the fragrance that really sells this product.
Finally is Twilight (£3.35) which was another product chosen by my daughter because of the fact it is pink and covered in stars. As Twilight dissolves, it turns the bath water a shimmering deep purple and releases its calming fragrance of lavender, benzoin and tonka.
So those are my latest LUSH purchases and i’m super excited to try them all out.
If you’ve tried any of these bath bombs I’d love to hear which ones you particularly liked so please feel free to leave a comment!
