e.l.f. Cosmetics – The Return

Last year I fell for e.l.f. Cosmetics budget-friendly makeup in a big way, then in the Spring of 2015 they pulled out of the UK market leaving a lot of bereft fans, myself included. So I was very excited to see an email from them recently announcing they are planning on a huge comeback this Summer.

Hailing from New York e.l.f. specialises in affordable, cruelty-free colour cosmetics, and is distributed throughout Europe and North America. With prices ranging from £1 to around £6 products can be hit or miss, but there are some definite gems to be had. My favourites are their blushes and lip products, so I thought I’d introduce you to some of them in today’s post.

e.l.f. HD Blush in Superstar and Diva (£4.50 each) – These creamy blushers are highly pigmented and super long-lasting; the lightest touch is all you need to add warmth to your complexion and they’re so easy to blend and build up colour.

e.l.f. Cream Blush in Seductress and Heartbreaker (£6.50 each) – These blushers have a higher price point than most other e.l.f products but boy are they worth it. The pigmentation of these cream to powder blushers really packs a punch and they’re housed in super-luxe, generously proportioned pots.

e.l.f. Lip Balm Tint in Peach and Berry (£2.95 each) – These pocket friendly balms give a sheer flush of colour to the lips that is also very hydrating. They’re ideal when you don’t want to look too “made-up” and are perfect for on the beach or by the pool.

e.l.f. Moisturising Lipstick in Velvet Rope (£3.95) – This is your classic fire-engine red lipstick, a shade everyone should have in their collection. With decent pigmentation, this lipstick wears evenly and stands up to a moderate amount of wear before reapplication is required.

e.l.f. Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in Sangria Starters, Pink Umbrellas and Tiki Torches (£2.50 each) I seem to have an addiction to chubby lip crayons so I couldn’t resist grabbing a few of these. It got a typical twist up mechanism so no sharpening needed, and whilst they aren’t long wearing they feel comfortable and provide a nice pop of colour.

If you want to stay in the know, get special offers, beauty tips, and hear about the e.l.f. re-launch before anyone else sign up for their newsletter here. I’d definitely recommend checking out their cosmetics when you get the chance.

I really like E.L.F. But the products I love the most I could not get in Europe like the Disney Villains and princess specials or the Frost palettes… Their budget makeup I love Makeup Revolution and MUA just as much I have to admit… But I am also looking forward to getting it back especially if they branch out and get the limited Edition stuff 🙂
