Remescar Stretch Mark Cream

If you think you’re in a minority with your stretch marks think again; according to research nine out of every ten British women are affected by stretch marks, and although pregnancy is one of the most common causes, they can also be caused by growth spurts or general weight gain, affecting teenagers, young women, and even men.

My stretchmarks were gained long before my pregnancy, occurring when I put on weight around the age of 18, and although they are fairly small and, at the top of my thighs, easy to hide most of the time I have always been keen to minimise them. I’ve tried various creams along the way, mostly with little or no improvement, and had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that they were never going to really improve, so when I was offered the chance to try Remescar Stretch Mark Cream (100ml, £24.95)* I was very keen.

National Lipstick Day with W7 Lip Paint

Apparently it’s National Lipstick Day today so as all good beauty bloggers should I’m embracing the day and celebrating by donning a brightly coloured lipstick.

Now, I suppose I shouldn’t really admit this on such a day as today but I’m not really a lipstick girl (sorry, not sorry) and I usually reach for lip gloss when doing my makeup, but these days there are some wonderful hybrid products out there that offer the vibrancy of a lipstick with the feel of a gloss. I love that these products give me the chance to achieve a bolder lip without stepping too far out of my comfort zone.

Pink Parcel – July 2015

One of my favourite subscription services has to be the Pink Parcel. It goes one step further than most subscription boxes do, not only delivering a box of wonderful goodies to brighten up your day, but also fulfilling an important monthly need. For tucked inside every Pink Parcel are enough sanitary products to last the month (and then some). But of course you really don’t want a tampon review do you? So i’ll move swiftly on to reveal this month’s treats!

North West Bloggers Event – July 2015

Living in a small town in East Lancashire I often feel, as a blogger especially, that it’s the back of beyond. Most of the large PR companies are based in London, as are the head offices of most well known brands, and consequently very few blogger events happen round here. Luckily the blogging community is amazing with many individuals who proactively go out to organise their own events and meet ups, and just two weekends ago I attended a brilliant event in Liverpool organised by two such bloggers Katie and Jenny.

June 2015 Empties

The weather today has been pretty cold for the time of year and forced me to retreat indoors for most of the day, where I busied myself tidying. It was when I was emptying the bathroom bin and taking out the recycling when I realised i’d not written about my June empties, and so without further ado here they are!

Bioeffect Volcanic Exfoliator Review

I hold my hands up; usually I don’t get too excited by exfoliators, so when this month’s Libbie Club box included one I was a bit non-plussed.

The Bioeffect Volcanic Exfoliator (RRP £30)* however is quite special, in fact I had what I can only describe as an OMG moment when I first used it.

image

You see I always cleanse before I exfoliate – this removes excess dirt and grease, which you don’t want to be rubbing into your skin when you exfoliate – and my skin felt clean enough after my cleanser, or so I thought. I reached for the Bioeffect exfoliator however and my skin felt so incredibly good afterwards; it was an epiphany (and a bit like the famous When Harry Met Sally scene)!
