Sweet Cecily’s Natural Skincare

Tucked into the stunning landscape of Whitby, North Yorkshire, is the gorgeous natural skincare brand, Sweet Cecily’s. Sweet Cecily’s began life in 2010 when tired of her troublesome skin, the brands founder Cecily embarked on creating an affordable, gentle and truly natural skincare range. After some trial and error the first products launched in 2011, swiftly followed by lots of activity branding, marketing and building up their presence in the marketplace, which culminated in their manic Christmas sales in 2014. You could say that Sweet Cecily’s had arrived!

Very kindly Sweet Cecily’s sent me their Elderflower and Almond Hand Cream (50ml, £6.95)* to try, and as an enthusiastic fan of natural beauty I couldn’t wait to put it to the test.

This handcream has a delicate, fresh, floral scent and a texture that’s to die for; being neither too heavy nor greasy, yet leaving hands incredibly soft and hydrated. As a gardener my hands often suffer for my art, but Sweet Cecily’s hand cream really stepped up to the mark relieving the dryness in an instant, as well as leaving a long-lasting moisture.

With an all natural formulation featuring Sweet Almond and Sunflower oil, and fortified with Vitamin E, this cream rehydrates and repairs even the most neglected hands whilst being kind to sensitive skins.

Moving onto aesthetics and I really love the branding and packaging; it really has a retro vibe that’s so current right now and would look great sat upon a shabby chic dressing table. It also exudes a warmth which gives the impression that this is a range into which a lot of love has gone. This is a brand that really excites me and I can’t wait to try more from the range!
