Pink Parcel – August 2015

Today has been a bumper post day and amongst the deliveries was my August Pink Parcel. Since seeing the sneek peek, emailed out at the beginning on the month, I’ve been eagerly awaiting my parcel, so I was super excited to see the familar packaging in my Postie’s arms!

This month Pink Parcel clearly still have summer in mind and, along with those monthly sanitary essentials, they have packed a fantastic array of treats in every box to ensure that summer glow stays with us right into September, so let’s take a closer look at the goodies.

The first product, the L’Oreal Glam Bronze Wild Instinct Bronzing Powder in medium (RRP £9.99), is one of two fabulous makeup items in this month’s parcel. A soft, shimmery bronzer it leaves skin glowing with a beautiful iridescent sheen. Personally this has a little too much shimmer to use as an everyday, all over bronzer, but for a more glam evening look or just swept over the collarbones I think this will be stunning.

The second makeup item is a Bellapierre Cosmetics Lipstick in Mandarina (RRP £20). Formulated with natural waxes and mineral pigments, iron oxides and antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E this smooth, silky lipstick delivers moisturising, rich colour that lasts. The mineral pigments provide natural protection from the sun and it is free of lanolin, bismuth oxychloride and Parabens.

Moving on we have two L’Occitane products, a favourite brand of mine and one which I’ll never grumble about seeing. The first is a 35ml mini version of L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (250ml, RRP £18.50) which is from the Almond range which launched last year. Shower oils are perfect for very dry skin types, or to rehydrate parched summer skin, and the light almond scent is delicious.

The second is a 50ml travel size of the L’Occitane Immortelle Essential Water (200ml, RRP £18). The Essential Water is a repeat product from an earlier box, but I believe Pink Parcel sent this because they were having issues with another product they had intended to send this month. Nevertheless it’s a great product, perfect for refreshing the skin between cleansing and moisturising, and being alcohol free won’t dry out or irritate sensitive skin.

This month Pink Parcel have included three edible treats; La Via Del Te Tisana Energy tea, which is the perfect blend for boosting energy, a 50g pack of Jealous Sweets in Wild Cherry (RRP £2.49) and finally a Fudge Kitchen fudge dipper. Yummy!

My box also contains the standard 25 tampons (or sanitary towels if preferred), tucked into a neat little Pink Parcel branded drawstring bag, and subscribers have a choice brands including Kotex, Lilets and Tampax, as well as selecting when and how long their cycle is, ensuring those essential supplies are delivered just when they are needed.

August’s box is chocful beauty products, from some amazing and well-known names in the beauty industry, and I love the inclusion of the delicious treats, which are perfect for boosting my mood when that time of the month strikes me down. For £9.99 including delivery (or £5.95 for your very first box) the Pink Parcel really does represents incredible value!
