Well Summer is in full swing, even if the weather thinks otherwise, and we are now halfway through August, so I guess that means I ought to empty the bathroom bin, take out the recycling and give you a run down of all the products I used up in July.
First up is the lovely Dr Hauschka Citron Bodymilk, a beautifully light and silky natural body lotion with the zesty scent of lemon. I really enjoyed this as it gave my legs a lovely sheen yet wasn’t greasy and the scent was clean and refreshing. My dry legs really sap up any moisture so I tend to prefer a heavier moisturiser at night but this was fine applied in the morning. Another lotion I used up was Nivea Pure & Natural Body Lotion. I didn’t know Nivea did a natural range so when I saw this 95% natural lotion I had to try it out of curiosity. It was nice, but didn’t feel particularly nourishing, so it’s not a product I’d buy again.
Moving on to two bath products, the first of which is I Love… Perfectly Peachy, a shower gel produced in conjunction with CoppaFeel! You can read more about this product and the CoppaFeel! Shower Hijack campaign here. I also used up the last of my Lush Snow Fairy which I bought in the Boxing Day sale. This has a very sweet scent and is a favourite amongst Lush fans but I find it a little cloying, so i’m not too sad that this is a seasonal product and is no longer available.
Next up is Mama Mio Gorgeous Glow Facial Wipes. I only use facial wipes when I really haven’t got the time or energy for a full cleanse as I don’t think they’re ever as good as a thorough cleanse but if you really must reach for wipes make them as gentle and natural as possible, which these are. My only gripe with these is they didn’t feel moist enough. Another skincare use-up is the Ginvera Marvel Gel, a really unusual and effrctive gel exfoliator. I loved this product and when I finished the sample I snapped the full size up on offer from The Libbie Club.
My final use up is the CB12 Mouth Rinse that featured in the April Lookfantastic Beauty Box. I find my mouth is very sensitive to the alcohol in some mouthwashes so this one was perfect. It’s a little pricy compared to some mouth washes, but definitely worth considering if you’re like me and can’t use ones that contain alcohol.
Last month I actually remembered to save some of my Korean sheet mask empties. The Sparkling Wine and Pure Snail masks were from the June Mask Maven bag, while the Pure Smile Lavender Collagen Mask was from my last Memebox – Memebox Seeds and Flowers.
Have you tried any of the above products? If so I’d love to hear how you got on with them.
