AEOS – Active Energised Organic Skincare – is a luxury range of 100% natural and organic skincare products crafted right here in the UK.
By utilising innovative methods to harvest their essential oils, cutting edge skincare technology using naturally-sourced tocopherols, and the ancient spelt grain grown on their Demeter-certified biodynamic farm based in Lincolnshire, AEOS combines innovation and tradition to create the most eco-luxe products possible and as a fan of natural beauty i’m so excited to feature them on my blog.
AEOS Optimal Essentials Kit – Pink (RRP, £68)* is designed to provide maximum hydration and nourishment to the skin. Consisting of 10 travel sizes from the AEOS range it is the perfect introduction to this luxurious brand, helping you to determine the product combination that best suits you, and also forms the ideal travel sized kit for travelling, ensuring you can still enjoy healthy, glowing skin wherever you are.
The AEOS Optimal Essentials kit contains 30ml versions of Cleansing Oil de-Maq, Dew Facial Wash, Refreshing Hydrating Mist and Realive Serum, along with 10ml versions of the Gentle Cleansing Lotion (Pink), Gentle Exfoliant (Pink), Energising Conditioner, Enriching Moisturiser (Pink), Beauty Body Shower, and Beauty Body Lotion. Despite these being travel sizes, due to their potency, which means you only require a small amount of product, they really do last a good amount of time and give you a great idea of whether this skincare system is for you. The pink colour of the cleanser, exfoliant and moisturiser said to be the colour of kindness, caring and warmth, and inspires us to be more loving and caring towards ourselves. The kit also comes in a blue form, which invokes a feeling of calm and serenity, perfect for those with hectic or stressful lives.
AEOS believe in a 3 Phase System, comprising Renewal, Rebalance and Replenish, and within each phase there are two steps, so six in total. For a lot of people that may sound exhaustive, but as I’m used to the Korean skincare regime, which often includes seven steps, I’m not phased by it. In fact as a great believer in double cleansing, applying a serum underneath my moisturiser, and using a facial mist as standard, I don’t think this is a system that demands too much. I see skincare as an investment and would much rather have great skin than bad skin caked in makeup to give the appearance of health.
The day-time routine comprises the Gentle Cleansing Lotion, followed by Gentle Exfoliant, then the Energising Conditioner and Hydrating Facial Mist. Finally the Realive Serum and Energising Moisturiser complete the routine. The evening routine is the same, except for the first two steps which are replaced by the rich Cleansing Oil De-Maq and Dew Facial Wash. Each product has the most amazing scent from the potent essential oils and all the textures are lovely, however my personal favourites are the richly indulgent Cleansing Oil and the refreshing and very gentle Dew Facial Wash which I think form the perfect cleansing duo.
According to AEOS this range is formulated to emulate the natural function of the skin, restoring its equilibrium and providing protection where needed. This results in a healthy radiance and a more youthful looking complexion, that indicates not just beauty but reflects an inner well-being. I certainly found the products a pleasure to use and I experienced no breakouts or sensitivity; just clear, soft and glowing skin.
AEOS products are unique from any other natural and organic skincare range I’ve ever experienced, in that aside from the natural, organic and biodynamic plant extracts, essences and essential oils they contain, they also use spagyric tinctures of crystal energies, and the waveforms of colour. The use of specific crystals and colours is described in more detail on the AEOS website, but simply put the belief is that this skincare doesn’t just act on the outside but can also exert a positive effect from within, on a person’s wellbeing. This holistic approach is definitely one that piques my interest and sets this brand apart from so many others, so if you’re looking for ethical and natural skincare that is a little bit different from the norm, then AEOS is worth investigating.
