Lookfantastic Beauty Box October 2015 Edition

The Lookfantastic Beauty Box reached a milestone last month when it celebrated its first Birthday with a very special box. Such was the value and quality of the box could be forgiven for wondering if this month would disappoint and, just like helium balloons deflate after a party, whether the October box would be an anticlimax. Well, I’ve got my sticky mitts on the October Lookfantastic box and can reveal it’s contents and whether the box is a hit or a miss.

First up is a 25ml sample of Monu Firming Moisturiser (50ml, RRP £22.50), which is infused with Marine Collagen and Aloe Vera to hydrate the skin, as well as soften and plump out fine lines and wrinkles. The sweet scent of Lavender and Neroli oils make this an indulgent treat not only for the skin but also the senses. If your skin is more mature or you’re concerned with the first signs of aging this is the ideal product to reach for.

The second item out of the box is 20ml of the Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream (50ml, RRP £38); a lightweight cream that balances combination skin thanks to the addition of Meadowsweet Extract. With Hyaluronic Acid to lock in essential moisture and a comforting blend of petitgrain, neroli and mandarin this is the perfect moisturiser for stressed out skin combating both dehydration and blemishes and keeping excess oil in check.

Moving on we have a 30ml travel sized Murad AHA / BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (200ml, RRP £34); a bestselling cleanser which uses both physical exfoliators in the form of Jojoba beads and chemical exfoliators to dissolve dead skin cells and lift out pore-clogging impurities. Use twice a week this cleanser will really help lift tired and dull complexions, which is perfect at this time of year.

The last skincare offering in this month’s box is a 30ml sample of the Balance Me Radiance Mask (75ml, RRP £18). This is a triple action mask which utilises kaolin clay, walnut shells and fruit acids to cleanse, exfoliate and brighten the complexion. I love the fact that this product is 98% natural, and its three in one formula really saves time on busy mornings.

Next up is a 30ml version of Percy & Reed No Oil Oil (60ml, RRP £14), a lovely, weightless and non sticky oil that helps smooth and tame unmanageable and frizzy locks, leaving them unbelievably glossy. The addition of provitamin B5 and wheat proteins strengthen and nourish hair, whilst also offering protection from heat styling.

The penultimate item is a handbag sized 15ml sample of Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream (75ml, RRP £11). Containing honey, sunflower, coconut oil and vitamin E this cream provides the ultimate nourishment and care to neglected hands and nails, softening them in an instant. It also has a gorgeous, soothing fragrance.

Finally each box contains a Look Good Feel Better Eye Shading Brush (RRP £6.99). October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this brush has been produced in conjunction with the Look Good Feel Better charity, which supports women with the visible side effects of cancer treatment. I love getting beauty tools in my boxes so I was over the moon to receive this super soft eyeshadow brush, and especially as it helps promote and support such a wonderful cause.

I love this month’s box, from its beautiful makeover featuring a glossy white box with gold embellishment to the fantastic selection of seven products tucked within. Although some may find the box a little skincare heavy this month there is something to suit every skintype and skin concern, and for the price of £15 per month inclusive of postage, is represents amazing value.

You can purchase this month’s box or sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription here.

What do you this of October’s line-up?
