December is the month for parties and festivities so all eyes are firmly fixed on the Lookfantastic to see if they’ve managed to squeeze in a little glitz and glam into their December box. Well today it arrived and I’m ready to reveal the contents!
The Lookfantastic Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service, that delivers to your door a selection of delux sample and travel sized beauty treats, and at £15 it always offers great value for money and a chance to sample some of the best products and brands in the beauty industry. So what is tucked inside this month’s pretty box and does it deliver on my expectations?
First up is a brand I really hoped I would find under my tree this year. The Molton Brown Coco & Sandelwood Body Wash (100ml, value £6) is a decadently scented bath and shower gel that will transform your bathroom into a tropical sanctuary. Molton Brown is a favourite in the world’s best hotels and spas so naturally I’m pleased to see it feature this month.
A must have for the party season is the smoky eye and the next product, the Lord & Berry Pailette Glitter Eye Pencil (value £5), gives you the perfect twist on a classic black eyeliner, adding a subtle shimmer to your eye-makeup. This is the grown-up way of adding a little sparkle.
Next is a 7ml sample of Codage No3 Radiance & Energy Serum (value £17), a concentrated elixir that delivers vital nutrients and moisture to fatigued skin. This is the ultimate serum to combat the stresses our skin is exposed to at this time of year; drying central heating, late nights, cold winter weather… Just one or two drops under your regular skincare will really boost your skin and banish those winter woes.
Moving on to an item that has featured before, the Wet Brush Squirt (RRP £8). This brush helps to detangle and smooth the hair shaft and is especially designed to work on wet hair. Less snagging and tugging means healthier, glossy hair and significantly reduces breakage and fall-out. Although I’ve received this brush before I’m happy to have a spare as I’m always misplacing my other!
The fourth item is a pair of Eyelure Naturalites Double Lashes in Exaggerate (RRP £6.95). I’ve never worn false lashes, so I’ll probably pass these on to someone who does, but I have heard Eyelure lashes are some of the best. Handmade and 100% natural they do sound and look like great quality lashes and would definitely add some oomph to your party makeup.
The final product is a 50ml sample of Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser (value £14), a lightweight rinse off balm that cleanses the skin of makeup and dirt without stripping it of moisture. Papaya fruit enzymes help brighten and gently exfoliate while carrot oil nourishes and stimulates collagen production. I love the classic Eve Lom Cleanser but sometimes find it a bit inconvenient when I’m in a rush, so this is the perfect alternative.
I’m really pleased with December’s box, especially with the diverse selection of products and the fantastic brands showcased. As is fitting for a Christmas box there is definitely some luxurious products, and a touch of sparkle and party glam! The sizes are really good too, with two full sized products and the others being generously sized deluxe samples.
The Lookfantastic Beauty Box costs just £15 per month, inclusive of postage, or you can sign up to a 3, 6 or 12 month discounted subscription. What do you think about this month’s selection? Were the products worthy of including in the December box? I think so but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
