La Montaña Candles

Candles are one of my weaknesses, but recently I’ve found some of the big name scented ones just don’t do it for me; their scents are artificial and overpowering, and after just half an hour I find my head feeling stuffy, so when I discovered La Montaña candles through The Libbie Club it was a revelation. A love affair with these fabulous quality candles, handmade in Spain, was soon born.

La Montaña is a range of gorgeous scented candles inspired by the founders’, Cass and Jonathan Hall, new life in a Spanish mountain village.  The handpoured candles evoke memories and dreams of the sun-baked Mediterranean. Not only do the candles smell amazing, but they also look great in the home; each one bearing its own unique and collectable label in the style of a 1930’s travel poster, which is both classic and stylish.

Galán de Noche (RRP £35)*, the candle I was sent, bears the intoxicating scent night-scented jasmine, combined with tantalising hints of rose, orange blossom, and ylang yang. The fragrance of the candle is truely authentic; I once owned a night scented jasmine and loved the perfume of its beautiful white flowers, and when I light my candle the room very quickly fills with the scent of my much-missed houseplant. The candle burns cleanly and the fragrance is strong enough to fill the room after only a short time, yet it never feels too overpowering. After extinguishing the flame the scent lingers making the large candle good value.

All La Montaña candles are 220gms of top quality wax, guaranteeing a burn time of at least 40 hours, and they include a high percentage of natural and essential oils. All candles are gift-boxed and cellophane-wrapped, making the perfect Christmas, wedding or even house-warming gift.

You can currently purchase the Galán de Noche, First Light or Winter Oranges candles for just £25 each, saving you £10, over at the Libbie Club, so if you’re struggling to find the perfect gift for someone special do check this and all the other offers out!

  1. Jonathan Hall says:

Aw, shucks (must find out how to say that in Spanish!), thank you so much for all your lovely words. Mostly though, we’re SO pleased that you like the candles. Have a very happy Christmas.
