Over Christmas and New Year I had a well deserved break from my blogging schedule, which means I never got round to sharing the contents of the brilliant You Beauty Discovery Advent Calendar with you.
Beauty advent calendars have really been huge over the last few years with Lookfantastic, Benefit, L’Occitane, Selfridges, Jo Malone, Libertys, Marks & Spencers and many, many others all bringing out some very lustworthy examples, but for me it’s the You Beauty Discovery calendar that I feel offers the perfect balance between affordability and value. If you’re a beauty addict but haven’t yet treated yourself to one of these beauties where have you been?
This year the calendar was £10 more expensive than in previous years, priced at £59.99, but boasted contents that were worth in excess of £300. So what was inside and was the price increase justified? Lets take a look.

In addition to all these full sized and generously proportioned travel sized products You Beauty Discovery also negotiated some exclusive brand offers, making this year’s calender definitely worth the pricetag of £59.99!
I much prefer beauty advent calendars that contain a mix of brands and product types, as I know I will always make some new beauty discoveries, and the You Beauty Discovery advent calendar certainly ticked all the boxes in that respect, with premium skincare, highstreet makeup, cult classics, niche eco-brands, and even included beauty tools and home fragrance, all nestled behind the doors!
As well as their advent calendar (which is actually still in stock and on sale at £39.99!) You Beauty Discovery also offer a monthly beauty box and regular limited edition boxes throughout the year, so for self confessed beauty addicts it’s definitely a website worth exploring!
