I completely forgot my January So Susan Lip Love Bag was due to arrive so when it landed on my doormat I was pleasantly surprised.
The “I Love Myself” Bag, which features a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment”
is all about channeling those positive vibes and learning to love ourselves. So maybe you’ve already fallen off the Dryanuary waggon or the New Year’s diet has fallen by the wayside, who cares! Be bold, be beautiful, be you!
First up is a Lip Parfait in Guilty Pug by Trifle Cosmetics (RRP £12.95). I’ve been loving these lip colours in the recent bags and this one is in a deep nude shade that looks great on and feels beautifully creamy.
Next out of the bag is the coconut scented All Over Glow by Jelly Pong Pong (RRP £9.95). This is a lovely liquid luminiser which really lends dull complexions a subtle glow. A little bit is all you need and the generous size means this would be great for highlighting areas such as the collar bones and forearms.
When I took the third product out of the bag – the So Susan Jello Shot Cheek and Lip Tint (RRP £19.95) – I was a little bit taken aback by the vivid orange colour. Once applied however this lightweight gel magically transforms into a very flattering pink stain that adds a healthy flush to the cheeks. It’s true; don’t judge a book by its cover, this is a truely lovely product.
The final item is the So Susan Liquid Powder Shadow Palette in Sumptuous Smoke (RRP £10.95). This eyeshadow palette, which can be used wet or dry, contains a great mix of matte and shimmer eye colours. It’s a welcome change from all the lip colours, luminisers and cheek products that have dominated the LipLove bags.
With their focus on cruelty-free, skin friendly formulations the So Susan LipLove subscription is a lovely little treat for lovers of makeup and at £14.95 it makes a great value gift. Find out more over on the So Susan website!
