Introducing Avene PhysioLift

I always thought I’d done pretty well aging-wise; I’ve reached my mid thirties with only the merest of forehead wrinkles and dehydration lines around my eyes, in fact most days I feel much the same as my eighteen year old self (and still not much wiser)! But then I was browsing though some photos of me taken just under 5 years ago when my daughter was born, and I thought “who is this fresh faced girl?” – I was not referring to the newborn baby.

Yes the realisation hit me that age has maybe not been so kind. Better than many I’d probably say –  I’m not a smoker or a sun worshipper – but still there is a definite loss of radiance and gravity is starting to take its toll on my jowls. So as part of the 30 Plus Blogs I was super happy when I was given the opportunity to try a new anti-aging range from Avène.

Designed to soothe, strengthen and replenish aging skin the new PhysioLift range contains clinically proven active ingredients designed to penetrate the upper epidermis and deliver results exactly where they are needed. Unlike so many products on the market for example the Hyaluronic Acid molecules used in PhysioLift are the perfect size for absorption, delivering intense hydration deep down.

Of course each of the PhysioLift products is made using Avène’s famous Thermal Spring Water, which is naturally infused with trace elements and silicates giving it a perfectly balanced mineral composition ideal for sensitive skin. This makes them not only powerful but super skin-friendly.

The PhysioLift Smoothing Night Balm (30ml, RRP £26)* is said to work all night long, smoothing the appearance of deep wrinkles and replumping the skin. Featuring the ingredient hesperidin methyl chalcone the formula detoxifies the skin and improves micro-circulation, helping to eliminate signs of fatigue and completely rejuvenate dull skin, leaving it feeling touchably soft.

Used in conjunction with the night balm PhysioLift EYES (15ml, RRP £22)* smooths wrinkles and fine lines around the delicate eye area, firming the skin and with its decongesting ingredient, dextran sulfate, diminishes puffiness and dark circles. It is described as having a unique ‘patch’ texture which mimics the skin, ensuring excellent absorption of active ingredients, which are then released all night long to ensure that eyes look fresh, bright and rested upon waking.

I have used both products nightly for 6 weeks and I can safely say I’ve noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin, which feels plumper and bounces back when presses. The dehydration lines around my eyes have deminished too and my complexion looks fresher. Whilst the texture of both products is fairly rich, neither feel like they overload the skin; a definite plus for my oil-prone skin. I’d definitely be happy to recommend the range for anyone looking to step up their skincare routine, especially given their reasonable price point.

Like all of Avène’s products PhysioLift has been carefully formulated to meet the needs of those with the most sensitive of skins, so you can be sure your skin is in safe hands. Consisting of the PhysioLift Day Smoothing Cream or Emulsion, PhysioLift Eyes, PhysioLift Smoothing Night Balm, and PhysioLift Precision Wrinkle Filler this range will see you through from day until night; forming the ideal skincare regime for aging skin.

The PhysioLift range can be found in all the usual Avène stockists including Boots and Escentual.
