It’s true, genetics isn’t kind and I’m destined to have a bit of a saggy chin no matter how much I weigh, so when I heard about Chin Up Mask via the Libbie Club I had to check it out, especially with the massive 50% saving on the usual RRP!
Described as a non-surgical face lift the Chin Up Firming and Contouring Mask (Trial Pack RRP £30, Libbie Club price £15) is designed to firm and tighten up the jawline in a matter of minutes. Worn for just 30 minutes the mask claims that you can lose 2cm of chin-fat.
The mask contains a firming essence containing natural fruit extracts, vitamin E and moisture-boosting Hyaluronic Acid which works by accelerating metabolism and boosting the lymphatic system effectively reducing chin fat. It also stimulates connective skin tissues and boosts collagen production, thereby defending against the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Used in conjunction with the firming band it lifts and tightens up the neck and chin for a more angular facial contour, and smoothes away necklace lines.
Using Chin Up is pretty straightforward; simply clean and dry your face, apply the mask, then put the band on and relax for 30-40 minutes. The mask has a warming sensation and pleasant aroma, but the band itself does make the movement of your face quite restricted, so the trick is to use it when you have nothing else you need to do (and if you feel the need to have a drink a straw will be your friend!).
Once I removed the band and the mask there was a definite improvement in my chin area, which looked sleeker and smoother. My skin looked fresher and my necklace lines were much less pronounced. Using the measuring tape provided I found I had lost just over 1.5 cm! The results lasted for about 24 hours, so this isn’t permanent fat loss but it’s fabulous for a confidence boost on a special night out. I imagine that if you can commit to more regular use then that could yield a longer lasting improvement as the band also trains you to hold your chin up a little and makes you conscious of how much you hunch over to gaze at smart phone screens etc.
This isn’t a product I could see myself using on a daily basis but it would be great as a weekly or fortnightly skincare treat. If I had an important event or special occasion coming up like a wedding or a big night out I would not hesitate to use Chin Up to give me a sleeker silhouette and boost my confidence!
As far as masks go the Chin Up mask is quite pricey but if you’re self-conscious about your chin area then it is a great investment and it really does yield great results. Plus right now at the Libbie Club you can enjoy a 50% discount on the Chin Up Firming & Contouring Mask kits (Trial £15 / Refill £30) which is a fantastic saving!
If you’ve tried the Chin Up mask before I’d love to hear what results you had!
