The Simply Beautiful Collection, or SBC, is a company that specialises in salon quality skincare gels that tackle a variety of skin concerns and just last year they celebrated 25 years in the industry. Whether it’s aging, redness, dryness or sensitivity SBC have a blend that is ideal.
After years of watching their shows on QVC it’s only recently I’ve actually tried SBC gels – in particular their Arnica range which I plan on reviewing very soon – but the gel I’m showcasing today is the Rose & Argan Oil Skincare Gel.
The SBC Rose and Argan Oil Skincare Gel (250ml, RRP £19)* is descibed as an “exquisite skincare gel uniting a classic fusion of Rose Essential Oils, Argan Oil, Chamomile and Passion Flower to condition, calm and soothe, whilst providing an immediate feeling of comfort, relief and coolness” and it certainly lives up to those claims. The gel is cooling and soothing, and has a delicate but unmistakable scent of fresh roses. The silky gel applies without dragging the skin, so is perfect for using on irritated or sunburnt skin, and it sinks in without leaving any sticky residue. It really does leave skin feeling softer, smoother and more toned and all without an ounce of greasiness. If you have parched skin that thirsts for moisture but you hate heavy creams you will love the consistency of the SBC gels including this one!
SBC gels are suitable for use on the face and body, however I have been using the gel on my body where my skin is much more dehydrated and prone to irritation, especially in the summer months when I spend a lot of time outdoors gardening. A little of the gel goes a long way, even on the most thirsty of skins like my own, so even used twice daily you will get a good few months use out of the product.
I would highly recommend this gel to anyone who wants a lightweight yet effective gel that tackles dryness, irritation and redness, and with prices starting at £9.50 for a 100ml bottle up to £34.50 for 500ml it’s a complete beauty steal. I cannot believe it has taken me 25 years to discover this amazing skincare brand!
You can buy SBC products via their website or on QVC where today their very popular Collagen range features in the Today’s Special Value!
