Comvita MediHoney Wound Gel

Manuka Honey is famed for its amazing health benefits, promoting healing, soothing inflammation and reducing the risk of infection, so its use in skincare is not surprising.

The MediHoney Natural Skin care range by Comvita utilises medical grade Manuka Honey in its all-natural formulations, which are suitable for all the family and especially recommended for sensitive, dry or eczema prone skin. From a soap free skin wash, moisturising lotions and creams, to the wound gel I was sent to review, the dermatologically tested range has all the basics needed to soothe and nourish delicate skins.

AA Skincare Amla and Clary Sage Rejuvenating Shampoo

Natural beauty products are becoming increasingly popular as people shun ingredients such as SLS, Parabens, and artificial colours and fragrance, and what was once only a very niche market has now become mainstream. AA Skincare is one such brand leading the way in making natural skincare affordable and accessible and now they’ve launched a range of shampoos that replace harsh stripping agents found in some shampoos with beneficial essential oils that nourish the hair and scalp. I was recently sent one to put through its paces, so how did I get on?

The AA Skincare Amla and Clary Sage Rejuvenating Shampoo (RRP £5.94)* we are told is suitable for all hair types but is particularly good for soothing irritated scalps, and to help strengthen roots and prevent hair loss. If you have issues with thinning hair or suffer with an irritated scalp this shampoo sounds like the perfect choice.

Fashion Wingz Review

Have you ever found the perfect dress but wished it had sleeves? Or have you got a favourite vest top you’d love to wear when the weather gets colder? Maybe you have tonnes of clothes in your wardrobe that are redundant for 80% of the year because they’re only practical to wear during the hottest months. Well help is at hand and you can now repurpose your wardrobe with the simple but genius idea that is Wingz.

image

Wingz* is basically an accessory that you can wear under any garment to give it sleeves. Available in a variety of designs, colours and lengths you simply slip the Wingz over your head and your arms though the sleeves. The stretchy band sits just under your bra-line and is otherwise invisible, creating no bulk, but adding sleeves to your outfit.

Pink Parcel – June 2016

Pink Parcel this is a monthly subscription service that aims to make your period something to look forward to rather than dread. Its unique selling point is the reliable delivery of essential sanitary items along with a handful of beauty treats and snacks, and it’s one of my favourite deliveries of the month!

This month, on the back of customer feedback, Pink Parcel have made some small changes to the boxes. Gone are the feminine hygiene products, and there are two or three fewer sanitary products per box (clearly I wasn’t the only one slowly collecting tampons as I couldn’t use them fast enough!), which means the price has reduced slightly too – whoop!

So what is inside the box this month? Read on to find out!

Tarte Cosmetics Lights Camera Lashes Mascara

image

As a wearer of glasses I often feel that my eye-makeup looks lost and that all people see is my large frames, so what I look for in a mascara is one that will really make may lashes pop and stand out behind my lenses.

I’m always on the search for a mascara that fits the bill and I had heard great reviews about the Lights Camera Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara from Tarte Cosmetics, which is formulated to lengthen, curl, volumise and condition the lashes, but would it live up to the claims? I had to find out for myself so when I saw that the mascara was featuring in this month’s Libbie Club boutique I couldn’t wait to try it!

DHC Bubble Foaming Mesh

I love the eccentricity of Asian beauty brands and the way they really push the boundaries with their skincare products, so when I was approached to try out a new launch from Japanese brand DHC I was very excited!

image

The DHC Bubble Foaming Mesh (RRP £2)* is a simple idea but genius!  Designed transform any foaming cleanser into a heap of dense, extra fluffy bubbles. You simply wet the netting, apply your facewash on to the netting and rub. Then holding the ring with one hand, you squeeze out the foam with the other and you’ll have a hand full of foam! Finally cleanse and voila, job done!

Birchbox – June 2016 Review

The June Birchbox has arrived along with the sun, so the Paradise Found theme of this month’s box seems rather apt.

image

Subscribers this month will get one of two tropical box designs, each one featuring an array of fantastic summer-inspired beauty treats. Subscribers can also pay a little extra to receive a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses, although I chose not to opt in to this option.

So now my box is here let’s take a peek inside!
