Birchbox – June 2016 Review

The June Birchbox has arrived along with the sun, so the Paradise Found theme of this month’s box seems rather apt.

Subscribers this month will get one of two tropical box designs, each one featuring an array of fantastic summer-inspired beauty treats. Subscribers can also pay a little extra to receive a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses, although I chose not to opt in to this option.

So now my box is here let’s take a peek inside!

The first item in my box is a beautiful lip and cheek tint from Jelly Pong Pong. The Paradise Pigment in Cakewalk (RRP £17.95) is a ultra hydrating balm that lends a pop of buildable colour onto cheeks and lips. I love the bright coral pink colour and the cute packaging.

My second product is a 25ml travel sized James Read Overnight Sleep Tan Mask (full size RRP £25). This self tanner is designed to be applied before bed, and its colourless and quick drying formula will not transfer onto the pillows. I’ve tried this product before and loved the subtle but streak free glow it gave my complexion.

Next up is a 20ml sample of Aïny Pure Lumiere Facial Scrub (full size RRP £25). This scrub is super gentle and features jojoba microbeads to lightly exfoliate as well as deliver a burst of moisture. I love a good exfoliating and this one sounds fantastic.

Fourth out of the box is the Percy & Reed Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray (full size RRP £12). If i’m being completely honest it’s hard to get too excited by a hairspray but I do like this one from Percy & Reed and the 50ml travel size is perfect for anyone jetting off on holiday. After all who doesn’t use hairspray?

My final product is a 40ml version of MONUspa Relaxing Bali Body Oil (full size RRP £29.95). This body oil smells like an exotic holiday in a bottle, with Sandalwood and Rosewood lending a warm, musky aroma that soothes away stresses and strains. Grapeseed Oil and Apricot Oil also provide intense nourishment.

This is a lovely box, and I will use every product. I’m also pleased to see MONU and James Read featuring in the line-up as these are brands I haven’t seen Birchbox feature before! I also love the box design which for June only features a draw compartment. I’d love it if this became a permanent feature of the boxes because it makes them even more handy for storing makeup or knick knacks!

Should you be tempted by this very summery line-up you can sign up to Birchbox for £12.95 per month and if you use my referral link you also get 50 points (worth £5) to spend in the Birchbox shop as a thank you. Whether you’re treating yourself or a loved one, a Birchbox delivery is a lovely way to brighten each month!

If you’re already a subscriber I’d love to hear what you received in your box!
