One of the first areas to show signs of aging is around the eyes. Whether you smoke, squint in bright sunshine or screw your eyes up when you laugh, the delicate skin of the eye area is usually the first place those pesky fine lines and wrinkles begin to creep in.
The Marine Miracle EyeZone by Transformulas (10ml, RRP £41.95)* I was recently sent to review promises to fight the signs of aging, minimizing dark circles, reducing puffiness and helping the eye area to look fresher. Key ingredients in this age defying eye cream are Aldavine – a potent combination of two marine algae polysaccharides – that is a proven agent in reducing dark circles, eye puffiness, wrinkles and fine lines; DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), a powerful anti-inflammatory which helps prevent and correct the loss of skin elasticity to maintain tighter, firmer muscles; Trehalose which helps to retain water and keep the eye area hydrated; and Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone which helps to improve circulation, lymphatic drainage and increase elasticity.
Marine Miracle EyeZone is packaged in a unique silver coloured spherical pot, which definitely gives you the wow factor, but the contents are equally impressive. The lightweight, gel-cream doesnt feel heavy or drag the delicate skin and is readily absorbed. It provides instant relief and brightness to tired eyes, and is so hydrating that you need only pat on the tiniest amount. Despite recent late nights and extra hours at work this product has really helped keep the dark circles and puffiness at bay. The one thing I can’t really measure it on is the creams effectiveness in reducing wrinkles as luckily I’m still relatively line-free!
At £41.95 this eye cream isn’t cheap but as an investment in your skin and one that is certainly cheaper than a cosmetic procedure, it is definitely is worth it! Even if you don’t yet have wrinkles around the eyes I can’t stress enough the importance of using a good eye cream, prevention is always better than cure so don’t skip this important skincare step!
