Birchbox – September 2016 Review

The Birchbox Heroes box has landed. Featuring a host of makeup, skincare, hair and bodycare products that will brighten, nourish and boost September’s box really solves a myriad of beauty woes. So whether it’s flat hair, a dull complexion or dry skin indulge yourself with a selection of beauty heroes from the beauty box experts at Birchbox!

First out of the box is a 25ml travel sized Polaar The Genuine Lapland Cream (full size RRP £15). A cult favourite in France, this cream is packed with antioxidants and really nourishes dry, dehydrated skins. With the colder months approaching this cream will be great to soothe chapped skin.

The second product is the Laura Mercier Blemish – Less Foundation Primer (15ml, full size RRP £29), a water-based gel that promises to prevent shine, hide blemishes and keep your makeup looking fresher for longer. This gets the thumbs up from my greasy complexion!

Next up is full size Model Co product that all subscribers could choose. I picked the Highlighting Trio (RRP £17), which features three gorgeous creamy highlighters that will add radiance to dull skin and a delicate shimmer to eyelids and cheekbones. The other option was the 2 in 1 Creme Rouge.

Moving on we have a travel sized Batiste XXL Volume Spray (50ml, full size RRP £4.29), designed to provide lift and volume to your tresses. Infused with Keratin and Inchi Oil the spray also smooths and conditions the hair. My hair tends to look flat so I love any product that promises to give my hair more oomph!

The final product is a 30ml sample of Nuxe Shower Oil (30ml, full size RRP £10). My dry skin absolutely adores shower oils and my current favourite is from L’Occitane so I’m looking forward to seeing how this compares.

The final treat, for anyone who referred a friend to Birchbox in the previous month, is a lovely rose-gold coloured bracelet.

If you are tempted to treat yourself to a Birchbox subscription for £12.95 each month you can use my referral link you also get 50 points (worth £5) to spend in the Birchbox shop as a thank you!
