Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil Review

On the 1st of September Dermalogica launched their latest product – the Phyto Replenish Oil, which is designed to strengthen and restore the skin’s natural protective barrier and shield against the environmental aggressors. Whether you’re a sun worshipper, stuck in an air conditioned environment or your diet is less than perfect this oil promises to protect, repair snd nourish. In short it’s the perfect fit for our busy, modern lives and I couldn’t wait to try it!

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil (30ml, RRP £62)* is a fine, silky and rapidly absorbed facial oil formulated without any artificial fragrances, colours, or parabens. It is packed full of natural active ingredients, each of which has a specific function. Firstly, phytoactives from Camellia and Tamanu oils work to restore the skin’s natural barrier. Secondly Chia Seed Oil and Orchid Flower blend together to moisturise, nourish and smooth out fine lines. Finally, extracts of Sunflower, Rice Bran and Rosemary provide antioxident protection against free radical damage.

A few drops of this oil go a long way, and it is easily absorbed leaving no greasy residue. The oil sits well under my usual moisturiser and it really lends my complexion a dewy glow and leaves my skin feeling softer and smoother. If I’m wearing minimal makeup or have a makeup free day I know that reaching for this product and incorporating into my skincare regime will help give my skin a natural radiance.

Despite having naturally oily skin I still love facial oils and use them daily, but if you’re unsure why not try using one as a weekly treat? You can use the Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil to give yourself a really beneficial facial massage that will improve circulation in the face, detoxify the skin, reduce puffiness and help to achieve a brighter complexion.

I love this oil. I reviewed it on my blog recently and since then have been using it every day. It’s just so light on the skin. I find that the oil alone is enough for me during the day, though I do add on a moisturising sun screen, and at night I slap on a bit of extra night cream. It’s a great product for this time of year.

I’ve had numerous facial treatments from this brand and they’ve all been really great. Love the review- may have to try this 🙂

I’ve used and loved a few of their products but never had a facial treatment in one of their salons. Is there a particular treatment you’d recommend?

I normally just get there 60 minute deluxe treatment- with facial massage – and add on a micro peel 🙂
