Anne Semonin The Daily Musts Review

It feels like I’m getting through some serious face masks these days! I think it is because the nights are getting longer and I love getting home from work, throwing on my PJs and having a serious pamper while I swoon over Poldark, get infuriated at The Apprentice candidates or complain about how the X-Factor is rigged and I’ll never watch it again!

The Anne Semonin The Daily Musts Mini Coffret (RRP £24, Libbie Club price £19.20) is a great set of face masks designed to combat any skincare woe. Consisting of a mineral mask, an exfoliating mask, a gel mask, and a cream mask – all with different effects on the skin – there is something for every skintype or concern. Each of the masks is available to buy individually in a larger size, but they’re pretty pricey at £42 each, so this pack is an ideal way to test each one and see which one meets your needs. They are also great if, like me, your skin changes through the month. In each pot there is enough product to get 2 or 3 uses, but as they aren’t resealable I’d recommend using some cling film to keep them from drying out.

The Mineral Mask was the one that I was most looking forward to trying. It claims to revitalise, purify, detoxify, tighten and rebalance the skin with the aid of key ingredients including Laminaria Seaweed, Mineral Salts, Lemon, Horsetail, Hops, Pine and Rosemary. Ideal for dull and congested skin, which is my skin right now – hello hormones – the mask had a lovely cooling effect, and definitely left my skin looking less inflamed and my pores clearer.

The next mask is the Exfoliating Mask which can be used either as a quick exfoliator, or left on longer for a deeper cleanse. With natural astringent ingredients such as White Nettle, Birch, Sage and Seaweed this mask works to improve radiance by removing dead surface skin cells to smooth, refine and brighten.

The Gel Mask is a hydrating and energising mask that improves elasticity, plumps the skin and softens fine lines and wrinkles. If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, or have been poorly recently, this vitamin and trace element rich mask will really help to erase any signs of tiredness from your face. The stimulating effect will also really help to boost your skin’s appearance before a big night out, so it is definitely one to reach for when you’re prepping for your Christmas Party.

The final mask in the set is the Cream Mask for dry, tight and flaky skin. It is such a nourishing mask – featuring corn, sunflower, and soybean oils, Shea butter, jojoba, and mimosa wax – that even if your skin isn’t dry you will still reap some major benefits. Calming and soothing it leaves my skin feeling so supple and soft. For a more intense treatment, perhaps if your skin is feeling really parched, you can leave this mask on overnight.

I think this little set of masks is genius, especially if you have combination skin, as it enables you to custom blend the masks and use them as you need, so if you have an oily T-Zone and dry cheeks you can use the Mineral Mask and Cream Mask to treat both areas.

You can currently enjoy 20% saving on Anne Semonin The Daily Musts Mini Coffret at the Libbie Club so if your skin tends to change through the month according to your hormones or the weather, or you’re getting ready for a big night out and want to look your best, then this is a great time to buy the set and get glowing in time for the Party Season!
