Birchbox – November 2016 Review

I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber for quite a while and while some beauty boxes have been hit and miss, their novelty wearing off, for me Birchbox still manage to catch my imagination with their beautifully designed boxes and the good variety of brands.

The November box is no exception. Curated along with Tatler magazine it features a gorgeous design and of course a great array of beauty products, guaranteed to get you party ready!

My first product is a 2.5ml sample of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer (full size RRP £15), which is a transparent gloss that goes on before your lipstick to moisturise and smooth the lips, as well as improving the staying power of your lipstick. It’s a small tube but the full size itself is only 9ml and you need only use a small drop, so this sample will last quite a while.

My next product is a 10ml sample of Marcelle Golden Glow Illuminator BB Cream (full size RRP £25.50). This nourishing BB Cream helps even the skin tone and disguise blemishes, but also contains light reflecting pigments that add a bit of a glow, perfect for parking up dull complexions.

Third out of the box is 15ml of NUXE Cream Prodigieus (full size RRP £21), a lightweight moisturiser packed with natural botanicals designed to nourish and hydrate lacklustre skin. The perfect tonic at this time of year when skin certainly loses it’s radiance.

Moving on there are two hair products. First is a Midi Wet Brush (RRP £11.99), which features unique bristles that are strong yet flexible and specifically designed to be gentle on wet hair yet effective at detangling. I already have one of these brushes that I use after swimming and it really does work!

Finally there is a travel sized Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (full size RRP £20) designed to put the life back into your hair when you haven’t time to wash it. If you want to freshen up after work, perhaps you’re meeting someone for a meal or drinks, this dry shampoo will gently fragrance your hair, add volume and hydrates with sea buckthorn extract.

I love this pretty box, it contains a great mix of products and brands, and I’m also very pleased to receive another Wet Brush as it is a genius product and the ideal size for my handbag!

If you are tempted to treat yourself to a Birchbox subscription you can sign up for just £12.95 per month and if you use my referral link you will also get 50 points (worth £5) to spend in the Birchbox shop as a thank you. You can also purchase gift subscriptions, which make the perfect present for someone who loves beauty products!

If you’re already a subscriber i’d love to hear what you received in your box, so please do leave me a comment.
