It has been quite a while since I placed an order with Latest In Beauty, in fact they have had a big revamp since my last box with a new website, a larger selection in the Build Your Own Box section and also monthly subscription options.
I had resisted placing an order for quite some time but when I saw the latest Build Your Own Box products a number of them caught my eye so I decided to take the plunge. I opted for the £18 ‘Beauty Guru’ box which allows you to choose 9 items. This works out at only £2 per item, which considering there are a number of full sized products to select from means it’s great value.
For me the standout product was the NUXE Shimmering Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse OR (RRP £34.99) which came with its own glittering makeup pouch / purse and a 50ml travel sized body scrub. This product alone is worth more than the box, and not only that but it’s a great body oil that nourishes, softens and illuminates skin with a unique, non-greasy feel and it leaves behind a captivating fragrance. I’ll be hanging onto this until the summer months when I think it will be lovely to use to give my skin a delicate radiance.
Next I chose a 100ml bottle of Molton Brown Festive Frankincense & Allspice Fine Liquid Hand Wash (value £6). This is a brand that oozes luxury with its sublime fragrance blends and the warming, spicy scent of this limited edition hand wash is perfect at this time of year.
I also chose a pair of Browtician Tweezers (RRP £7.99) which are always handy to have to hand – especially as i’m always misplacing my tweezers – and a Amphora Aromatics Orange and Clove Candle (RRP £5.50) fragranced with 100% natural essential oils.
Finally because i’m a bit of a face mask addict I picked four sheet masks and a mud mask to complete my box, including the Dermovia Lace Your Face Calming Chamomile Mask (RRP £40 for 4), Masque Bar Anti Blemish Mud Mask (RRP £9.99 for 3), Skimono Anti Aging Beauty Mask (RRP £14.95), 111Skin Biocellulose Facial Treatment Mask (RRP £20) and finally the Bio Essence Bio Energy Snail Secretion Repair Mask (RRP £4.50). I can’t believe how much some of these masks retail for so I’m excited I could snap them up from Latest In Beauty for such a great price.
If that wasn’t enough the goodies were tucked into a really good quality canvas makeup bag and Latest In Beauty threw in an extra sample of Beverly Hills Formula Perfect White toothpaste – random but useful! Pretty impressive for £18 huh?
You can select between a 3, 6 or 9 items from the Build Your Own Box section, for £9, £15 or £18 plus postage, and if you opt for the monthly subscription plan you will enjoy free delivery on all your boxes (including any boxes from the Collections) plus a free makeup bag with your first box. The plans allow you to unsubscribe at any time.
It is unlikely I will keep up the 9 product ‘Beauty Guru’ subscription because it’s a lot of products to get through each month and personally I prefer to dip in and out when I see some products I really want to try than commit to a monthly subscription. I will probably downgrade to a 3 or 6 item box or cancel altogether depending on what products they get in stock later this month, however even if I do end up cancelling it’s definitely a service I’ll be keeping an eye on and no doubt be ordering from in the future!
What do you think to the Latest In Beauty Build Your Own Box concept? Have you ordered from them before?
