Half Term fun with Interplay Mermaid Charm Jewellery Kit

My 5 year old daughter is definitely girly, she loves dressing up, jewellery and all things pink, so when we were sent the Interplay Craft Box – Mermaid Charm Jewellery Kit (RRP £9.99)* to review I knew instantly that it would capture her imagination.

The Mermaid Charm Jewellery Kit has really come into its own this very rainy Half Term and has provided hours of enjoyment. The kit comes with all the materials needed to up around 10 pieces of jewellery and includes:

10 Metal Charms (5 silver colour, 5 gold colour)
75 Bicone Beads (blue, green, purple)
125 Round Beads (silver, fuchsia, purple and coral)
20 Pearl Beads (in pale gold and cream)
5 purple Clasps
10 clear Clasp Beads
10 Shells and Starfish Beads
45 Faceted Beads (Pink, Blue, Turquoise)
10 Key Rings
4m purple Stretch Cord
1 Instruction Booklet

The kit is described as being suitable for children aged 4 plus and apart from tying the knots, making the charm bracelets really is child’s play. There are so many different beads to choose from the only limit is your child’s imagination. They simply thread their chosen beads onto the cord, add the clasps if desired – the cord is slightly stretchy so you can get away without the fasteners – and they will have their very own unique jewellery. If you get stuck for ideas there are also some great examples in the booklet.

Overall we really enjoyed the charm jewellery kit, with its wide variety of shapes, colours, and sizes of beads, although younger children like my daughter will need more help than older children so that is worth considering.

You can buy Interplay’s Craft Box Charm Jewellery Kits now online and all good toy stores.
