My first Birchbox of 2018 has arrived and after a bit of a miserable New Year I couldn’t wait to delve in and brighten up my January Beauty Regime!
The January 2018 Birchbox is a collaboration with British stationery brand Ohh Deer, resulting in a very pretty box that comes complete with cute sheet of stickers plus a selection of 5 beauty treats.
A travel sized Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner in Charcoal (RRP £10.99) is first out of the box. This longlasting, smudge resistant eye pencil glides on effortlessly and the dark gray shade is flattering whatever your eye colour.
The next product is probably the one i’m most excited about; the Paul & Joe Beauty Moisturising Foundation Primer (full size RRP £24) helps create the perfect, longlasting makeup base, and has a subtle pearlescent finish which gives the skin a healthy, natural looking glow.
Next up is a full size Lord & Berry Blusher Crayon in Peach (RRP £15). I love cream and stick blushers as they are so easy to apply and give cheeks a really blendable pop of colour, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this blusher crayon applies in comparison to my usual blushers.
Moving on is a sample of Thermaliv Night Cream (RRP £15.75). This contains sea chamomile and vitamin E to soothe and replenish skin overnight. I can’t wait to try it out as my skin looks incredibly dull following the hectic festive season.
The final product is the Afterspa Amazing Makeup Remover (RRP £5.50) which is a microfibre cloth you use with water to remove makeup. They are great for the gym, travel or sensitive skin types although personally I prefer to use these cloths as a precleanse and still follow up with my usual cleanser.
The January Birchbox 2018 contains a great mix of make-up and skincare from some familiar as well as new brands, and it’s a fantastic way to try out new products and spring clean your beauty regime.
