It wouldn’t be Christmas Day without the traditional stocking opening first thing in the morning, and shopping for stocking fillers is one of my favourite tasks in the run up to Christmas.
If you’re stumped for ideas of what to get your little ones and are searching for a little inspiration look no further than my guide to stocking stuffer must-haves for kids!
I love buying Christmas presents for people but sometimes I get fed up of the gifts available on the high street, with shops churning out the same brands and products year after year. That’s why when I saw this lovely gift set from The English Soap Company I had to grab a few extra to give as presents.
The English Soap Company Soap and Candle Duo (Libbie Club price £15) is a beautifully packaged gift set featuring a large soap and scented candle. At 260 grams the soap is a great size and smells of a lovely traditional festive fragrance combining winter flowers and Christmas greenery. It is rich is Shea Butter, which prevents the skin from drying out, and produces a creamy, nourishing lather.
The festive season is fast approaching and the latest Libbie Club offers definitely have it sorted with makeup that is perfect for all those parties and social gatherings, a lovely foot scrub which will restore tired, aching feet, and a very seasonal candle and soap duo that would make a perfect present for a friend or loved one!
Is your daughter a real girly girl, who dreams of princesses and loves pink? Despite our best efforts to avoid stereotyping and the ‘blue is for boys, pink for girls’ mentality, our five year old goes mad for anything pink or Princess related. If in doubt, buy her something pink and you’re guaranteed a winner!
Sweet Cecily’s is a small company based in Whitby, North Yorkshire, that specialises in handcrafting small batches of natural bathing and skincare products, and this year they feature some extra special gifts alongside their usual lines.
One of the gifts especially launched for Christmas 2015 is the Secret Santa Christmas Parcel (RRP £17.95)*. This one is particularly brilliant as it showcases three different products from Sweet Cecily’s range, including a Sea Buckthorn Berry Handcream (50ml), a limited edition Chocolate Orange Lip Balm (10ml), and a Christmas Pudding Bath Bomb (170g). Also tucked inside is a little bag of spices perfect for making Mulled Wine and bringing a bit of extra cheer to festivities.
It’s that time of year when Lush reveal their Christmas range and their stores come alive with legions of cute santa bubble bars, sparkly fairy wands and spicy scented bath bombs. This year however I’ve not been able to make it to a store so instead made an order online. Along with a few old favourites are some brand new creations, so lets take a peek at just a selection from the Lush Christmas 2015 range.
I can’t say I’m really into the Boxing Day sales but one exception has to be the Lush sale, which happens online for one day only!
It would appear everyone else loves this sale too and I had to battle though the extremely glitchy Lush website in the hope of bagging a few bargains. Once I managed to get on, rather than umm and ahh over individual products, I quickly chose some of their lovely gift sets (emphasis on the word quick there – everything was selling like hot cakes) and checked out!
So what did I get in my haul?
Back in December the Korean beauty experts Memebox launched a 12 days of Christmas promotion, which saw them reveal exclusive daily offers over on their Facebook and Instagram pages, and to kick off the series they released two Christmas/Holiday boxes; a skincare focused box and a makeup box. Due to business restructuring there had been quite a drought on new Memeboxes so these boxes had been eagerly awaited and were snapped up super-fast by K-Beauty fans, and of course I had to get in on the action, grabbing the skincare box!
We were promised that the Memebox Christmas Collection #1 Stress-Free Holidays would be “a box full of easy skincare and body essentials to help keep holiday tension from taking over” that would help to “fight skin and body blemishes and flaws that follow stress” and “maintain your beauty all season long”. So did Memebox deliver? Lets find out as I delve into the box!
I was incredibly lucky in November and won a bespoke beauty Advent Calender from Kat of Tales of A Pale Face blog. As I was being restrained and desperately trying not to purchase any of the amazing beauty calenders out there I was over the moon; not to mention the fact that from reading her blog I knew she has great taste and would no doubt put together a great selection of goodies.
So what was in my one-of-a-kind advent calender?
